h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Sam sent an email to several Yahoo groups (Aces, Scouts, Sub-eds, Gurus and Scavengers) yesterday.

He said it went straight into his Spam folder when he checked.

He'd like to know whether this happened to everybody but me, so I promised I'd try to find out.

So, if you got the email, could you please let him know?

If it ended up in your spam flder, he'd like to know, too.

The emails came through to me alright

I got them both too.

I got an eamil asking us to contact elvised researchers who might want to come back.

I haven't seen another one, but it might have come through since I checked.

I got the e-mail six times.

Once in the Community Artists group, twice in the Subeditors and three times for the Scouts

I got it twice (sub-ed/Curators) in my normal email inbox

I got it twice, in my Subeditors folder.

I got the one you forwarded to the UG.

Thanks all. Good to know it reached the UG people all right. I haven't heard back from the Photographers and AViators yet. I guess they got it, too, though, but are even lazier than the rest.

I don't have nighthoover's contact details, which is why I wrote this journal.

Unfortunately it seems no one has nighthoovers contact details : I oughta get myself organised soon; need to log into all my accounts, well not that many, and check Each is using a differnt E-mail address, so I can then migrate them all over to the new BBCID

But if nighthoover returns, he'll find that the "Retrieve my details" page now has a "Cancel" button. He can finally cancel his account.

Yes, best do it soon. I nearly forgot to transfer account, but remembered last night, eventually.

About two weeks if you haven't posted from that account within the last six months. A few months more if you have posted since June last year.
I'd still advise to set up the different email addresses and transfer your accounts now.

Just went through the accounts and checked the Email addresses, and changed them where appropiate so they're differnt just need to migrate the accounts over... think I'll start with mine (2legs), then londonmeet

Elektra has a problem - a couple of years ago, her first account got 'lost' during a server upgrade.

Neither she nor I can log onto that account, even though it now has *my* name on it.
