Just nipped in for 5 mins and thought this was in PR - is there a guide entry on it - if not there should be.
I of course don't dye my hair it is naturally this patchy, brittle and colourful.

Well, Fizzy, that was the purpose of putting the A number: to make people have a look at least.
You know, what you say reminds me of onwe of my colleagues (she's ten years older than me, not a single grey hair, but weighs about 10stone more than me): whenever I complain about my grey hair, she says: " I have never had grey hair in my life, don't need o dye my hair" - in a way, as if this was something anybody could influence, you know, as if it was 'deserved' somehow. So far, I've never replied to that, but one day, she'll catch me when I've got up on the wrong side of the bed, and then I might reply, that I can't choose my hair colour, but that I've never been fat in all my life.

We'll see, pheloxi.
Fizzy's the one who's very creative - Fizzy, why don't you write a GE about this? I'm sure it'll be much more interesting than a similar entry I recently read.

Why I'm flattered Bel, why don't we do it together I think its a subject that needs to be covered in great detail so all us dyers can keep our secret.

True, maybe we should do it a a collaborative entry? Ask everybody for their experiences?

Sounds good to me ........ don't all talk at once now, form an orderly queue, she'll get to everybody, calm down, you'll get your turn.

Wrong place for this, Fizzy, and wrong person to ask. If we want to get some responses, we'll have to think of something better.

Well, if we're really serious about it, I think the best place to satrt would be on 'ask' - I think. Or maybe write sort of introduction first, put it into the EGWW, then post the link on 'ask'. Btw, I've had a look, there isn't an EG about this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/Search?searchstring=dyeing+hair

As Lady Leo did, with "how to grow a beard", ... An intriguingly worded ASK thread. It proved, in the end, quite an entertaining PR thread, and an edited entry.

Thanks Rev, Ok Bel, I've jotted down the first paragraph or two of our potential entry, should I post it to the Ask... thread and let it lie for a while, or would you like to take it up and run with it.

Go on Bel, you do it - I'll keep an eye on it over the next week or so, but I'd rather it was in your name - people are more likely to respond - go on - you know you want to......
PS Or...if you really don't want to leave it until 2007 then go for it.

No, really, you do it - everybody will think: Oh! It's by Fizzy, it's certainly amusing and interesting!

I'm confused as to how you're getting dye on the towel.
I dye my hair regularly, I leave the dye on, wait, wash it out, rinse, apply the conditioner supplied, rinse until the water becomes clear, towel-dry, dry hair with hair-drier.
I have never ruined a towel

Oh, I'm just clumsy, you know.
Plus, I didn't have anything at hand to fix my hair on my head, so it fell on the towel - even my neck was fiery red - as were my ears, my front ...

Mrs Bojangles Posted Dec 17, 2006
I'm not clumsy! Well, not *that* clumsy.
I'm super, extra careful when I dye my hair. I still manage to get dye all over the towel that's draped round my shoulders, dye on the old t-shirt I wear for dyeing my hair, dye on my face, neck, ears and arms, dye splattered all over the tiles in the bathroom, on the taps, on the floor....
I thought all home dye-ers had the same experience.
Key: Complain about this post
