So if I finally do end up writing up a little something*, how do I write it up -- as an Entry, or in a file which I send to the post, or something else?

* Yeah, yeah, I'll do that. Thank you for your confidence smiley - smooch

If you could write it in guide ml that would be great (no need to actually update the entry, just write it and preview smiley - winkeye). Then copy and paste into an email to either me or the Post account - whatever you prefer.

And thank you for writing it. smiley - smooch

Didn't you take a single one? smiley - bigeyes

Oh well, maybe I can hire you to write us a recipe or twenty, and then you can send your lovely photos to go with them. smiley - biggrin

No, because actually I don't like going to a concert or something with a camera. I can't concentrate on the event and on the pictures at the same time smiley - blush

I envy Gerald Ford, being able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

As for recipes, I don't know, you find so many already on the internet, I wouldn't be able to add much more to what there exists already smiley - erm But if you want, I can write up a couple.

(I also thought of a maths column -- an entertaining one, or something about what I would think is the basic numeracy, like some basic mathematical baggage everybody should have.)

That sounds all great. smiley - magic

Have a look here: A690815

I'm sure there's room for your favourite recipes. No pressure, though.
An entertaining maths column would be great, too. smiley - ok

I could write up an occasional recipe (in which case, could you tell me chich one you'd like?). As for entertaining maths, I may start once I have enough ideas to get going for enough columns. So far I may have material for one or two only, so smiley - erm I must keep on thinking.

As for the concert report smiley - whistle Maybe you got some email? Let me know how it reads!

Got the email, thanks. smiley - ok

It's all prepared. smiley - winkeye

I'm more of a non-eater, so not really the right person to ask about recipes. smiley - erm

So it is readable? smiley - bigeyes

But surely you must eat *something*! Or maybe as practise for your sons smiley - winkeye

Yes, I do most of the cooking and some of the eating. smiley - biggrin

I don't do baking, though. Or desserts. smiley - erm

Is it because you don't like sweets, or do you find it too much trouble?

I've hardly ever done sweets before this year, but I decided I need practise smiley - weird Not that it pains me to eat them afterwards, mark you smiley - winkeye

I'm not really into cakes and desserts, so I don't bother. smiley - smiley

Btw: smiley - smooch

(for your post in the 'hootooers meet famous people thread). smiley - smiley

I've unsubbed for it, too much kerfuffle in it, plus I can't for the life of me imagine why I would mention any in an editorial, and why MF suggested that I would in the first place. smiley - erm

I'll probably unsub too, but I'm waiting to see a name I recognise smiley - erm

I thought it was just me. smiley - biggrin

I guess 'famous' is relative to the country you've grown up in. smiley - winkeye

Post 18

Oh yes, sometimes when I see all the 'famous people' mentioned here, I remember that if it was a French board and we were discussing our celebrities, everybody else would be wondering just the same smiley - biggrin

On the other hand, it leads to some definite UK bias in the Deathlist game smiley - cross On the other hand, I like to to have to second-guess which foreign celebrity's demise would be Anglophone-newsworthy. Of course, most of the time I don't even find out.

Yes, that name was familiar to me, too. smiley - laugh

And I agree about the deathlist game. I think I've never heard of about 90% of the people whose deaths the UKnians mourn. :D
