So if I finally do end up writing up a little something*, how do I write it up -- as an Entry, or in a file which I send to the post, or something else?

If you could write it in guide ml that would be great (no need to actually update the entry, just write it and preview ). Then copy and paste into an email to either me or the Post account - whatever you prefer.

Oh well, maybe I can hire you to write us a recipe or twenty, and then you can send your lovely photos to go with them.

No, because actually I don't like going to a concert or something with a camera. I can't concentrate on the event and on the pictures at the same time

I envy Gerald Ford, being able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

As for recipes, I don't know, you find so many already on the internet, I wouldn't be able to add much more to what there exists already But if you want, I can write up a couple.

(I also thought of a maths column -- an entertaining one, or something about what I would think is the basic numeracy, like some basic mathematical baggage everybody should have.)

I could write up an occasional recipe (in which case, could you tell me chich one you'd like?). As for entertaining maths, I may start once I have enough ideas to get going for enough columns. So far I may have material for one or two only, so I must keep on thinking.

Yes, I do most of the cooking and some of the eating.

I don't do baking, though. Or desserts.

Is it because you don't like sweets, or do you find it too much trouble?

I've hardly ever done sweets before this year, but I decided I need practise Not that it pains me to eat them afterwards, mark you

I'm not really into cakes and desserts, so I don't bother.

I understand that It can be troublesome (? I mean aufwändig) enough to make when you are motivated!

I know, I did bake the odd cake and xmas cookies.

I've unsubbed for it, too much kerfuffle in it, plus I can't for the life of me imagine why I would mention any in an editorial, and why MF suggested that I would in the first place.

I guess 'famous' is relative to the country you've grown up in.

Oh yes, sometimes when I see all the 'famous people' mentioned here, I remember that if it was a French board and we were discussing our celebrities, everybody else would be wondering just the same

On the other hand, it leads to some definite UK bias in the Deathlist game On the other hand, I like to to have to second-guess which foreign celebrity's demise would be Anglophone-newsworthy. Of course, most of the time I don't even find out.

Yes, that name was familiar to me, too.

And I agree about the deathlist game. I think I've never heard of about 90% of the people whose deaths the UKnians mourn. :D
