Normal??? What's normal? And, who wants to be normal???

I've finally walked on the blinking eye and also had a look round the Sage. Both are brilliant.
Odd walking along the Quayside now that there's no longer parking. I can remember when there was nothing between cars/pedestrians and driving/falling into the river. That was in the days before clean rivers when you could see condoms floating at lunchtime and had to have your stomach pumped if you fell in.
I'm struck by how odd that last paragraph must sound smiley - smiley

But then, as I said earlier, what's normal smiley - smiley

Normal for me smiley - winkeye

They only got rid of the Quayside car park in the last six months or so: I'm not sure where the Sunday market goes now, but it's made my ride home from the Rowing Club a lot safer.

The Tyne's been pretty clean since the Graphite Works at Lemington closed down...

... bits of it were fluorescent green before...

Not sure what you're saying there!

Just got back from Midlands. Attended an outdoor performance of The Tempest at MAC at Cannon Park on Friday evening. Heavy rain throughout the first half :o)

All adds to the fun!

I saw Archaos, the French alternative circus act there when I lived in Brum.

Not too familiar with The Tempest: only its adaptations (Forbidden Planet, Return to the Forbidden Planet) so I'm not sure how much scope there was for appropriate weather matching the dramatic moment.

Rain would probably do as general scene-setting though smiley - winkeye

They were an unusual group - lots of humour and adlibbing. To give you an idea - one third of the audience was waves (with sound and actions), one third was seagulls and the third i was in was wind. Every time someone mentioned 'tempest' on stage...you get the picture smiley - smiley

Sounds great: most of the really worthwhile/memorable shows involve the audience somehow: I went to a production of Rocky Horror in London that totally missed this point: they banned rice and water pistols, seriously damaging the experience...

I've always wanted to go to Rocky Horror but always been afraid i'd miss out because I didn't know words/actions!
I can't beleive I'm saying this but it was too hot to sit out today smiley - smiley

Yes; I was quite glad of the breeze on my bike smiley - winkeye

You should go see Rocky next time it's around: dressing up isn't actually compulsory, and the rest is fairly easy to pick up: someone will always be willing to help out.

Plus there's a cheat guide on the DVD smiley - evilgrin

Just back from Midlands and it's freezing here! I have an innate distrust of cyclists - I hope this doesn't offend you smiley - smiley I'm still toying with the idea of a motorbike but the traffic is still rather scary.

You could always get a pair of Zaphod's peril-sensitive sunglasses, or just shut your eyes...smiley - winkeye

I keep seeing cyclist on the road - whippet thin with cord-like leg muscles and leather-look skin. I like my blokes with a bit of meat on them smiley - smiley
