I get the rare privilege of undergoing knee surgery next Thursday due to the damage caused by the wreck that totalled my beloved four-fendered friend. They want to completely bury me under general anesthesia because it's rather involved, so I'm a pissed that I'm going to miss all of the excitement. I think I'll demand pictures.

The baby blue jay I rescued is doing well, and I think he may be bigger than any blue jay his age that lives in the wild. He's still got a bit of a hole under his wing from where the cat got him, but he's flying into things, nevertheless. He's nice...for a bird.
