Yup. Know that feeling well, only trouble is I have the washing, the dusting, the hoovering, the cleaning, the shopping the cooking and dog walking to do.
Anyway. Mustn't be glum. Soon be summer, and the sun will be beaming down from the heavens. Can't wait.

Me too
Just finished tidying up the kitchen, hubby told me he'd cook the pizza for tea today - and that he'd need S-P-A-C-E to do so : In other words: go and do the kitchen, wife I never profit when he does the cooking, it's always : Claudia, how do I..or: would you mind slicing the onions ? ( yes I mind) or: do this,do that, I really can't see a big advantage for me in this

And no doubt have to do the cleaning up after wards.
The news has just started on TV and they are talking about the bombs in Madrid. It's so sad. 200 dead. My word, what a terrible thing to do. These terrorists are not human, are they? I mean it's not the sort of thing one human does to another, not like this it isn't, just innocent people on a train, children too.
B****ds!!!
Anyway.
Enjoyt your pizzas. I've just returned from the canteen with a cheese and ham slice. It's like a flat pie with cheese and ham inside. They are very nice. I've got a potato in it's jacket with butter and so I'm just about to guzzle myself.

aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Mar 13, 2004
It makes me sick to hear about all these terrorist attacks every day I'll never be able to understand how anybody can actually do this, it really is not human.
Anyway,enjoy your meal
See to it that you'll get enough vitamins e and c to bind the free radicals there are when you eat cheese in connection with ham. ( Just showing off a bit )

It was very enjoyable, which makes a change for our place. Radicals? Binding vitimins?
No. No. I don't want to know.
Just put the kettle on
Hope the night shift comes in on time. Last week the chap came in at 2120. I hope tonight's is on time. I want to leave early.
That bl***y fox was there again the last couple of nights. I'm told that an old lady on the corner keeps feeding it. A friend of mine thinks it may be tame. It may be. If it comes near my little doggie, I'll have to defend her, tame or not. She's a friendly little thing, and only knows friendly people, and so she thinks everyone and thing is friendly. Which of course this is not the case.

aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Mar 13, 2004
It's vitamins binding radicals, but don't worry, the danger of the fox is probably worseGot some pepperspray with you? The fox will never get near you again after having had a load of that I presume
Mother in law just called, she'll be here in a minute, so I'm off now
Hope you'll get home early today,
have a nice evening

Good morning( it's nearly noon here)
Imagine, the sun is shining at the moment, so that's nice for a Sunday.
Hope you finished work early yesterday
Did the fox bother you again? I have no idea as where to get pepperspray, perhaps in a pharmacy? I think I've heard that it's forbbidden to have it here, but I'm not sure about it.Anyway, perhaps you could just take a small bag of pepper, the effect on the fox should be similar

Got here late due to horrible traffic jams. Been very very busy ever since, first chance I've had to go on line.
The chap last night got here an hour early, so I got off nicely, thanks. The fox didn't show up last night. I'd have thiought pepperspray was illegal here too.
The night bloke last night was one of the good ones. But he has done everything so there is nothing for tonights shift to do except transmissions.
Some like it like that.

I hate it when there's nothing to do at work- that is there's always something to do, but it's the boring sort of stuff, I'm always glad when there isn't a minute to do it
You're lucky though, you can chat a bit

The Liquid Warrior (Vescere bracis meis) Posted Mar 14, 2004
I don't mind it when there's something to do and I dislike it when there's nothing to do, I just hate it when I've five or six things all happening at once.
About ten minutes ago a police car an ambulance went roaring past the office windows, all sirens and lights. I looked out and craned my neck sideways. There's something going on up the road, but cannot see far enough up the road, due to the curviture of the road and building. I hope it's nothing serious.
A funny programme on at the moment. A chap poking fun at TV programmes from around the world. That should keep me amused for 30 minutes.

Hope you'll have a good laugh.
When I hear sirens and see the ambulance go by, first thought popping up in my mind is : where are the children? When I know they are at school or at home, it's alright and I relax again. behaviour, but it's like a reflex

Interval's on
He's just been poking fun at an English soap opera called Coronation Street, which is about people from Yorkshire. I cannot stand it. I think it's an awful programme, so him poking fun at it was really very good.
I am not a fan of soap opera's.
There's a teen one called Hollyoaks which really gets on my nerves. I think the worse ones are two from Aussie. They are called Neighbours and Home & Away, they are so bad it's embaressing.Mind you the Yanks churn out some really bad rubbish. Friends and The Bold and Proud and stuff like that.
OOOpppss interval over, back to programme.
Great impersonation of president Bush

I think they broadcasted Friends and Neighbours here too, but I never watched them. There are some nice series from the Aussies for children, but I can't recall the titles, something like Neri???
there are a lot of German tv series nowadays, I never watch them either, even if I wanted to, they're too early ( every film starting before 8.30pm is too early. As they usually start at 8.15, I often don't bother to watch them.
It's only on ARTE that they start at 8.45pm, which is a good time, but I always forget to have a look what's on, and even if I had, I forget about it again, it's just not important. Got a dvd player for my birthday, haven't watched a single dvd until now. The dvds I got with it are the two Harry Potter movies, I've seen them in the cinema once, that's sufficient.Perhaps I should look whether there is an English version, that could be a reason to watch them a second time.

To see Harry Potter once is once more than enough for anyone. I shouldn't really say that. One of my friends is a great fan. An actor here called Stephen Fry is famous for reading the books and you can buy them on cassette or CD. I copied the first three tapes for my friend. She now has The Philosopher's Stone, The Chamber Of Secrets and The Prisoner of Azbhan, or somewhere like that. Another friend's son is 10 and is a keen fan of Harry Potter.

Even I know Stephen Fry, but I thought he's directing films,no?
I've read all the Harry Potter books and I liked them, liked the films too,but there are only few films I watch more than once, Out OF Rosenheim is one of them, have you ever watched it?
I like the British films they broadcast here, although they often do it very late in the night. Fitz something ( Für alle Fälle Fitz )was a series I watched regularly, with Robbie Coltrane ( he's acting as Hagrid in HP )as Fitz- brilliant

Yup it was called Cracker and I watched it avidly. A writer called Jimmy McGovern created and wrote many of them and he is an excellamnt writer. Coltrane was brilliant as the weary crime solver. I too have seen the Potter films. Fry has the right voice for reading the Potter books. have you noticed how each book gets thicker?
My problem is working shift I tend to video things I'm going to miss, then don't get the time to watch what I've recorded. One of my favourite films is The Ladykillers. A comedy about three inept crooks who stay in lodgings at a old lady's house and how she accidently foils their crime. A second is a Japanese film called The Seven Samurai, on which the western The Maginificent Seven was based. While on holidfay to Spain I visited the film set where they shot the Magnificent Seven and several of the Dollar western films. It was quite interesting.

I think I know Ladykillers, and I remember The Magnificent Seven with Yul Brunner, although I'm not a fan of that genre.Have you ever seen Arsenic And Old Lace ? I've seen it on stage several times, but it's always very funny.
Still nice weather here, forecast is 20°C on Wednesday
Meet for work this evening, to discuss all the changes in health system and the consequences they have for our work
The economic development here at the moment is terrible, more and more people loosing their jobs due to new laws and taxes
I'm lucky, i still have my job, but with people having less money to spend, it's not safe, but to say it with Brian:Always look on the bright side of life...

Yup I have the video of Arsenic & Old Lace. Brilliant film, with all the juggling of scenes he has to do. Those poor old ladies, and the brother who thinks he's the president. CHARGE111 The poor taxi driver who's kept waiting outside. Superb.
Yeah the economic situation is pretty rough here too. The Conservatives created an unemployed Britain, and the Labour party hasn't done much to alter it. Margaret Thatcher destroyed a lot saying she wanted to make Britain a service industry feeding the world, which is fine on paper, but in practice is rubbish.
Still, as you asay, Brian had the right idea. Always look in the bright side.
