She hasn't stoppedtalking about it. The cist is still there and someone has told her to hit it with a phone book. But she won't. Been given a series of CDs on a comedy programme called Blackadder with the comedy actor Rowan Atkinson. They are very funny.

Everything's ok so far. My mom comes visiting for a week, so I'll probably rarely be on during the days, possibly only early mornings and late evenings.

The visit went pleasantly, my mom has left last night. I should be online more now again, so we can have a natter next time you're here.
Got a bladder infection and am still not feeling too well, but much better than on the first day.

Well I was night's Friday so didn't get to Coll's until 1730 Sat, still we had a nice evening. Sunday we began clearing out the alleyway which leads from front to back of her house. She is having someone call to decorate the external of the house. It is Tudor style, so white walls and black wood. They want to erect a scaffolding and we had to make room at the side of the house. Which meant two trips to a local dump. Also her daughter's husband had left some bookcases there, so I had to help him move them to his house. So it was quite a busy Sunday. Then her daughter invited us to dinner. Which was very nice, saved us both cooking and washing up etc. We had Turkey.
I bought a digital camera during the week. I am a keen photographer and have always stuck to my 35m SLR cameras. But these are OK for quick snaps and small and light to carry around at party or dinner eveings. For proper photography you need the other types. A chap once produced a pocket Instamatic. He said what was the different between his camera and mine, they both took photos. I replied Yours takes photos, mine takes pictures. Got camera very very cheap in a local cash & carry It is a Nikon 4600
So that's about iut.
How are things Frankfurt way?

Things are not too well at the moment, my bladder's gone from bad to worse, with blood in the urine. Got antibiotics now and will stay at home for the rest of the week - which is the only advantage of it all.
My had a competition with the model airplanes yesterday, he won two cups, one 1., one 2. place

Listened to a nice program on radio4. Do you think it helps if I stop doing so ?

I like Radio 4. I have the car radio tuned to it, but the minute Coll gets into the car she changes it to a radio station called Magic, which is non stop middle of the road music.

If I wanted to listen to music, I could just switch m radio on. Now listening to the 'book of the week'. The 'listen again' if you've missed something is a great feature.

At 1415 every day is an Afternoon Play on Radio 4. They are usually very good. Although you often get the odd stonker.Then at 1830 there usually is a comedy. There is usally a serial or comedy at 1130 too.The book programme is a good one to listen to.

I've listened to 'Return of a native' , Thomas Hardy yesterday, and immediately ordered the book
Today, it was 'rowing without oars', which was very fascinating, too.

The Book at Bedtime tonight at 22:45 is Notes On A Scandal. This book won a literature prize. It is about a female school teacher who has an affair with a 15 year old boy pupil.If you are interested in Hardy, at 1415 Friday 17th is a play about him.Rowing without Oars is on at 00:30 Wednesday
