Hello! I noticed you like languages. I can only speak English and a little Spanish, but I want to learn a Western language one day (like Japanese, Chinese, or Korean). I am fascinated by Western culture. smiley - biggrin

I wonder why you think English is the best language for the world to speak. I have heard that it is a very hard and frustrating language to learn, and I even see from my limited vocabulary that Spanish seems to be structured a lot better... it doesn't have all the "hidden rules" that English does. So what do you like about English?

Also, what does English sound like to people who don't know it (your mother language is German, so you must have learned English)? I have always wondered about this... German sounds "powerful" and "halting" to me, and Japanese sounds "intricate" and "graceful."

Therest - The inner me of tiredness

Hello ska !
Thanks for the words and here is my answer ! Sorry that I'm so late , but I was bussied in my privat .First I was standing by the words : western language (japanese ... , but than I've recalled myself that your western is my eastern .I'm fascinated by asian cultures too , In time I'm learning the vietnamese language . It's very funny . A friend of mine is studiing Japanologie . You were asking why I mean that english is the best language . Sorry if it seems so but it's not true . My meaning is the best language for the globalising , because its learnable all over the world and will teached everywhere . You could learn it in Simbabwe and every other dried spot in these world .I prefer n language , because I use evry I get and know . Its the matter of the originally meaning of an in special language textes . Translate them and they are not the same . Example : translate an loveletter out of vietnam in german , it will seems like an fairytail , translate him in AmerivanEnglish and you have an trip to the next psychiater . Believe me ! If you want tell something to somebody in his language you would tell him that in his language with his words , so that he understand you . I think if you talk for example in spanish you think spanish ! I'm right ? I think too that you not translate sentence for sentence in your mind . Will be the best way to die by an heartattck , because you have to much stress . You find that english is fustrating and hard ? You never tried the russian language !
The sound of language is a matter that troubles me too and is an very iteressting thematik but it isn't in time ripe enough to write about it , because it will later end in an psychoproblematic spot . Could you discribe a little bit more to me ? I know what you mean but I miss the aspect of emotion of languages and there culture behind ! The mainproblem to me is to find the roots of language you could find between them . Every of them has "stolen" from another and copied it . And so it goes from one land to the next and to the next continent and so on . In the years of globalising its going faster ., but in time there is no historican in my list who has an eye of that and . It's well an allkonw object to everybody .
Ok not too much of them or you'll be tired .
You've told you like the japanese ! How it seems with mangas ( like Ranma, Akira , oh my goddes ..... ) ?

So I think it's enough befor today . Many thanks to you . !
Wich you many thoughts and solutions till in time
Marcel - Pierre
