listen wanted to ask you something hun,you know the cleansing ritual using the black candle to take away negative emotions,well how long are you supposed to leave the candle burning for and what's the right way to do it?

Err it as the first timeid done that myself last night n i just did it on instinct.It seemed to work though. I just said what i was lighting it for n asked the goddess to come forward n help me . Left it to burn down almost totally..but thats more preference i think Its left
me feeling pretty zapped thogh(psychically i mean)so its probably a good job im not reading/cleansing tonight after all cos im not sure how much use idve been...lol

for answering that for me hunni as i think maybe i could do with doing it myself but although it tells me in my mag to use a black candle for it it does'nt tell you exactly how to do it and nor does it mention that you have to call on the goddess either while your doing it.

how long have you knowen you've had the gift?

I saw a couple of issues of that myself (mind body n spirit?)n to be honest id be very careful with it! i saw a candle spell in there tht didnt even mention calling it the elements or that you have to say 'and harm it none'(or for the good of alll n harm to none..is a few variations) to avoid a backlash!


Which gift? ive always been empathic and perceptive (psychically) but i denied/supressed it for a long time as i was part scared of it,and part didnt believe 'i' could have gifts like that..put it down to wishful thinking somewhat. Ive only been practising to be a witch for a few months..though i was always drawn to it n guess i always was.

with most things to do with witchcraft you will always have to be careful i guess but which goddess do you call on when doing the cleansing spell?

your empathic gift was the one i was reffering to and i guess it would freak you out abit knowing you have that gift but if you were'nt mean'nt to have it then you would'nt.

When I say the goddess , I mean THE goddess , Theres only one..but she has many aspects that you can call invidually if you want to.By backlash i mean all magick has a boomerang efect..whaever you send out..vcomes back to you..up to 3 times as strong! (the basic 3 fold law). Also if you state your spell is to harm none..it stops anything unfortunate happening. Foor example if you did a spell to cme into some money..but didnt state that it was for the good of all n harm it none.. someone could die to leave you the money!

ahhhhh i see.....well if their gonna be teaching people this stuff then maybe they should think of including that info aswell as it would be alot more helpful and would also stop us novices from making major cock ups!

there's so much to learn about this and the what to do and not do and maybe some people can'nt except their gifts as it might just freak them out to much.
