I am a choral scholar at St. John’s College, Oxford. Since going to Oxford, I have been very much in demand as an accompanist and repetiteur, most recently working with Oxford City Opera in their production of Puccini’s La Bohème, and with American baritone Stephen Salters. I play viola in a number of orchestras, including the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra, consistently numbering amongst the winners in national competitions. Outside of term-time I am an organist at Our Lady and St. Thomas’ on Meadowhead, Sheffield. I am also a member of the Schola Cantorum of Oxford.
I am a keen composer: in 2001, the incidental music to Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (which I co-composed) was premièred with me as co-conductor; my Christmas anthem "Christ is Born" was recorded by Sheffield Schools' Girls Choir. Current projects include a Spike Milligan song cycle (to be premièred in June) and an operetta (to be staged early 2004).
