One of the reasons why i came onto H2g2,was to possibly hook up with some of the friends i used to know on Leisure District,and not only that but to make new ones.Although there have been a handful of people that so kindly messaged me back(which i am grateful for and of!),there have been others that could not even be bothered to even acknowledge my post.A "friendly"site??So is that friendly??Ingoring people's post??I think NOT!

thanks for telling me about the problem with the problem accessing the LDers space main page... we had some similar problems before when we used the U number [U201567] and found that if we were clicking on the entry number it was better... it seems that you might have done so as you managed to post a message on there [the one titled "to all the fellow H2G2ers] so it's not too bad... we will still have to re-do the main page tho' as it is rather inconvenient having a main page inaccessible for digibox users considering that most of the people who need to access it are actually digibox users themselves...

that main page should be really the first stop for all digibox users who arrive on this site as it's full of info... definitely something to look into again until we find a satisfying solution...

fortunately we've put some of the info/links from that page on some of our projects' pages so all is not lost at the mo'...

i've been reading your personal space... it seems that the quotes section might be the place for you to share some of your interests... for example, we have a thread dedicated to poetry [either posting poems or talking about poetry... or both really]... it's still a bit slow but it is getting there... once we've produced some entries linked to that project we should have a few more people contributing there...

at the moment i'm trying to put my notes back together so that i can post as many LDer related links as possible even when i'm not using the local library's computer [it seems that i'm relying a lot on "cutting and pasting" which unfortunately not possible with a digibox...]

i'm fine thanks... i'm enjoying the pleasure of being able to access h2g2 whenever i like [to a limit of course...] again... still some catching up to do tho'...

... i will talk to you later and see if i can post you some links today... something to start with anyway...

I took your advice and went on the poems/quotes site Loup,and for my trouble,got a total screeen freeze on my didgibox(which meant after i could not gain access for 15 minutes or so to Interactive through my digibox!)So think it best not to bother from now on.As i have had other probs accessing people's sites etc on H2g2,and getting pretty much the same prob all round!

oh right... that would mean that you might need the link to the plain skin/background then... i was not sure if you have been given it or not and didn't have a chance to check what your ACE had posted you... lot of ACEs are now giving that link to newly arrived ex-Lders as they have been made aware of the problem about digiboxes accessing long conversations etc... we might have to nicely and politely inform those who don't know yet... the plain skin is a more digibox friendly background which has been released as a prototype by those in charge of h2g2 as a favour to us... long story but also something we are quite proud of as before we launched the LDers space it was very difficult for digibox users to do much on here... anyway that skin/background is working quite well and after a while you should notice some improvement...

the instructions and the link are on A948602 just click on the link and that will take you there...

hopefully it was not a problem with the servers as if it was and you're already using the plain skin my post will not be much of help...

it will be on the list of links i will post you tomorrow anyway but why wait if that gives you a good chance to enjoy h2g2 properly sooner...

did you get my msg i left you the other day on your page as i was asking if you were using the plain skin that was created for the digibox users as i saw you say you were having problems accessing things on here.

yep that might be why as if your on a digibox like myself you need to be using the plain skin which was designed for us digibox users as without it we would all have problems...what colour is the background on your page hun?

It's a blue background Loup!But when i have made my personal space etc(digibox friendly),i still get problems!Hope you are fine.I take it you are female then??May be a silly thing to ask i know!But wasn't sure whether you were male or female.Are you single at all Loup??Just asking out of interest that's all.Hope you don't mind me asking.Me,am single myself.

well to answer one of your questions sean i'm angel and i'm female and loup is male as were 2 different people

you say your page background is blue which means your not on the plain skin as if you were your page should be a greyish white colour......look at the top posts above this one and click on the link loups left you as that will take you to were you can change your skin colour...once you've clicked on it scroll down to were it say skin in the little box then click on that and select plain,once you've done that just click on update details and it should change your skin for you....hope that helps hun.
