h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I really should get around to writing something about this on my personal space as i keep getting asked about it.

The username is one i use elsewhere, complete with mispeling. The mispelling first occured about 4 years ago when i was setting up a blog to keep in contact with some American friends i had made over the summer. The next day i went to log in and spelled chesse correctly, confused i triueds chesse and it worked. My username for most things iternet has been the save since.

Similar, in some ways.

I was visiting a few chat spots, on the old AOL many years back, when I got tickled by a character whos username was KirksWig, an obvious jape at Bill Shatner's hairpiece.

I was deeply immersed in the original Hitchhiker's airplay, and searched for an analogous name. Zaphods2dHead didn't seem right, nor did ArthursRobe. I really liked the character Ford Prefect and so FordsTowel was it.

I was pleased to get some positivie feedback from the occasional DNA fan. It never occurred to me that DNA would create a site where I could use it more in context.
