Hi Fords
Long time no speak. I remember you were one of the first people I spoke to on this site - you helped me with an entry I put into the writing workshop. I never did get that particular one off the ground (it was too ambitious), but I've now got around 30 EG entries, and I'd have given up at the start without meeting supportive researchers like you.
Anyway, now I'm subbing your Monkees entry, and I'd like you to check the version at A30560906.
I've removed the discography, as it didn't really add a lot, and also it will change with each new retrospective greatest hits release. I've linked to the band's official site which has this information on it and a lot more, for people who need that stuff.
Let me know if this looks OK

Well, Hi there Icy!!
I remember you, too! And now I'm just embarrassed that you so swiftly surpassed me?! 30 EG entries is impressive, in my book. Congrats!
Hey, I'm really happy you're subbing the entry. I only added the discography because of a PR suggestion, so I won't feel too bad if it does not appear; but perhaps you could find a place to make mention of the number in a sort of "more than xx" kind of way?
That way, any additional retrospectives will just be part of the "more than" and need not be addressed individually.
I wouldn't want readers thinking that the Monkees put out 3 or 4 albums and disappeared.
I'll be checking out some of your entries, and you're always welcome to check out mine. If you should, you may enjoy some of my UG entries as well (or, perhaps, even more so). I'd suggest How Pyramids got their Shape, or Cinco de Mayo, as I recall you have a well developed sense of the absurd.
I'll look forward to the notice than I can add it to my EG list!! [salivating]

Thanks Fords.
I'll certainly be reading some of your entries over the next few weeks
I've mentioned the number of albums in the final section. I'll return it to the Editors now - look out for it on the Front Page in a couple of weeks.

You're so Icy, you've got me shivering to think what graphic they might use for it (if one is chosen at all)!?!
Thanks much!!

Yes, it's great to see it up there.
Sorry it didn't get a pic, but I'll go and find one, so I can feature it on my PS.

That'd be great! I look forward to it!
BTW: is there any prize for hitting the front page two days in a row!??
They just posted my recipe for 'spotted dick'!!

I don't think there are any prizes, but I've had a couple of subediting 2-in-a-rows recently.
It's good how they feature older ones. I haven't had any of mine in that spot yet, except when I asked them once
I found a Monkees picture, but it loses a bit of definition when I expand it to fit the width of other pictures on my PS. If you want to use it, I suggest you use (but I don't think we're strictly allowed to link to pictures from elsewhere, so I wouldn't use it out of context)
