Entry # 2175329 "Short Study about AIDS/HIV" written by Gecko is returning with a question: What to do now? Fords Towel what have you to say?
I have done considerable corrections and editing on your suggestions. Can I submit somewhere to a HIGHer forum? Please advise me. Thank you. Gecko

Hmm, I do see a few minor things that you will want to change, if this is to be an Edited Guide (EG) entry.

The EG requires removal of all first-person references (those that have I this, I that, or your name).

Remove the "Researched and written by: Gecko". You don't need it as your credit appears in the 'Entry Data' box.

"SIV which means Simian (monkey) virus."
SIV may mean Simian Immuno-Virus, or something. Perhaps Researcher Farlander could tell you, or you could search for it at www.google.com

"Because in any diease is not the cure is the most important action ..."
Because in any disease it is not the cure that is the most important action ...

"Preventive actions to stop the epidemic of HIV are today :"
You may want to mention infection by transfusion of blood.

Once you have responded to all suggestions (taking them, or ignoring them), you can submit this to 'Peer Review', just as you selected this workshop when you first began it. That would be the next step toward having the entry considered for the EG.

Thank you very much Fords Towel. I shall follow your suggestions and corrections.

SIV has to be searched. I think a host is not suffering from the particular illness. There is a difference between an infected organizm or a host.

Next time I will not write directly on Internet, because I am missing very much the SPELL - CHECK, tAURUS HELP. But my WORD software, (where I could have all the help) is non existent since months. To get it fixed, is not an easy task! Perhaps to buy an other cheap computer would be a better idea taking into consideration how much these guys here can charge for " repair" job.

But now I will finish this project this way.

I have asked John-the-Gardener and now I am asking you too
Fords Towel: how to go from Collaborative Writing Workshop into Peer Review?
I'd like to take a chance what the scouts have to say?
This short article about AIDS/HIV was meant to serve the purpose to give some orientation to those people who are not interested in highly technical medical info.-
Also I believe in a short article the reader does not get lost and loose interest. ????
With many thanks for your help.

John-the-Gardener does not know exactly, how to transfer an article from Coll. Writing workshop. Waiting for your advise.

I can also go further to ask some help from other h2g2 people like the scouts? I'd like to know this process for further references also.

Eh? Fords Towel: did you do some changes on your Personal Page??? I still don't know anything about you. But that is all right. I don't say much either. However that I am a friend of Tibet: does say something.smiley - magic What do you think?

Oh, I am so sorry that I have missed this continuation!
I'm hoping you found the answer, but just in case:

Go to edit, find the section that says Submit for Review, and then select Peer Review.

I think that should do it. Please let me know if you still have problems with the process.

Fords Towel since I posted the last time lot of things happened here!

I had a very serious trouble with my computer and finally this past week end: February 7, 04 a friend of mine took my computer entire software out ( UNINSTALLED) and reistalled like if it was a brend new machine.
Now BBC/h2g2 gives me a hard time. 3-4 times I have to log in with the same name and same password! Finally they let me in! I think it has something to do with my rebuilding software installation.
Or: did they--- over there--- change the regular routin? N ow I wrote to my server to recognise me as before!

I am planning to write on my Microsoft WORD in the future and COPY AND PASTE to various forums! WORD automaticly corrects grammar, spelling and is much much faster the entire operation. But because WORD was crippled for a few months I did many things since I had no other choice.

Now my computer communication will be much better! I am happy and satisfied to restore the great abilities of this machine. Gacko smiley - biggrin
P.S. I changed my name to be: Gecko a friend of humans. smiley - cheerssmiley - cool

Gecko, hello! Love the name change!

Your current problems with h2g2 may be either your connection or, more probably, your browser's security settings. If your friend is knowledgeable enough to reinstall your operating system and software, that friend should be capable of putting their finger on the problem fastest.

Congratulations on the rebuild. Computers need the reboot now and then. It gets rid of all the flotsam and jetsum of cookies, unused links, temp files, etc. that accumulate over time.

PS: Don't trust the WORD spellcheck and grammarcheck entirely. It will often lead you astray, or let you put in the wrong (but otherwise perfectly good) word, now and again.

Thanks Fords Towel for your note and advise.

It is true, that for a couple of days for my Anti-virus system restoration I have to wait. Also I'll tell my friend, that this little "hang up" is due to our operation. He certainly can fix everything.
Yes, it is actually very satisfying to know, how these computers keep the ORDER in our communications! It was telling me at first, that it has to be known, who is at my computer. Am I the same person? Or did somebody got into my communication? It is a neat operation!

I made in these days very nice photographs at an ice-sculpting show! These artists attend the Winter Olimpics with their fantastic work. To bad I can not put these pictures on the Internet, though for those members with whom I have E-mail exchange I can send any pictures!Yeah, copywrite? No, not for the things.
I also have an interesting exchange about the AIDS/HIV article with researcher HELL, (this is his name) I should give the thread #. Have to find it. Gecko smiley - cheers
