Hi
I was interested in your comment that h2g2 will never publish the kind of things you like to write, so I came over and had a (very swift) look at what you do write.
Most of it seems to be at home in PR, no?
On the other hand, if you want to write non-factual pieces, check out <./>RF5</.> (the Alternative Writing Workshop).
And even if it isn't your spiritual home, you may still be able to have fun here.
Anyway - welcome to h2g2. What a shame you arrived in the middle of a s**t-storm.

Thanks Ben, I've been meaning to visit. I wanted to give the Earth Guide proper a chance. And I'm fairly certain that the straightforward piece on Making Stage Props will eventually find a home in the edited guide.
I'd prefer doing stuff like the "Wilderness Survival" series, and that's the stuff that I am assured is to much DNA-ish, as if there were any such concept. The most DNA-ish you can be is to be DNA, and he's dead so someone has to try. (Please feel free to check out the series and see if you agree with the masses.)
I'm going to zip on over the RF5 to see if I've got a new home away from home.
Thanks, again, for the welcome.

Hi Jodan!
Great minds think alike!
Fords Towel - there is a very mixed bunch of entries in the AWW - poetry, prose, fiction, fact. And a mixed standard. The best is very good indeed. The worst is dire.
But do check it out, and do comment on what you see.
I'll see you there.

Sounds great! Until I can find my own way around, I sure appreciate the links.
If either of you can spare the time, perhaps you could let me know if this "Wilderness" stuff would likely find a home there, before it disappears.
Thanks again,
