Ah, I didn't get to that one. I did get a look at your babies though... what cutie-pies they are! Not *quite* as cute as my three (two human, one furry), but lovely nonetheless!

So what's new in your part of the world? The *good news* story on last night's news in Perth was about a 67 yr old woman who was attacked by a man while walking her dog in the park at 6am (it was still pretty dark -- winter here). That's not the good bit. Anyway, she screamed, and he grabbed her harder and told her that if she screamed again, he would hit her. She screamed again (yay, yay), so he put his hand over her mouth to stop her from screaming. Then.... she.... (I love this!).... BIT A PART OF HIS FINGER SO HARD THAT IT CAME OFF IN HER MOUTH! At this point I was torn between being utterly revolted and cheering wildly for her. She went to the police station with the section of finger and now they have the guy's DNA and are starting the process of DNA matching to people with existing criminal records. She was on the telly (er... TV) last night telling her story and describing what she did so matter-of-factly that I couldn't help but laugh and cheer! She said there was another older woman walking her dog in the park at the same time and she wanted to "go public" so that this woman would also be on the alert. Isn't that just the best story you've heard for a long while?

Sorry to go on a bit, but it was just such a delightful ending to a potentially horrid situation and I just had to share it.
