I have to admit that the civil service (from what i have heard ) is a job that does meet the criteria you wish for!

Thanks for the welcome. Don't believe everything you've heard about the Civil Service, it's not really all beer and skittles. I've worked in both the public and private sectors and you get good and bad in both, efficient and inefficient. We contract out a lot to the private sector and a lot of them are a waste of skin.

But my own job .......!!

The trick is not being clever enough to do the job, but being clever enough to pick it in the first place???!!!!

Certainly right about being clever enough to pick the job. Having the right job is all important. I have one in which my line manager is about 100 miles away. Now that's clever!!!
