Good Evening your Countship!

How goes the marrows? Can Nibbles be of any use?
How has your day been? One of excitment, adventure and some interesting shades of blue? Or one of infinite wisdom and ... more infinite wisdom?

Marrows? I might live in the farming district of the Country but I'm neither A- a local or B- a farmer!
Though with a river running through my land I'm sure Nibbles would love it and being so far from anyone makes privacy perfect!
My day? Hmm- that's a tough one. Well I popped into local Pub for a few drinks, read the paper went for a six mile walk, came back, proof read my novel- NOT SCRIPT then worked on my Big Finish submission and since then relaxing watching Die Another Day.
Aside from that quite ordinary but not long before pollen arises and I am intoxicated with Hayfever- The Devil of Summer!
Oh and I posted a behind the scenes story in my guide entry: Behind the Scenes.
What say you mighty Sir Lance the Brave?

I seen the "behind the scenes". Very good!
I'm not exactly a local where I live either - I'm from Maidstone originally. That's where I grew up ... Tom Baker lived near there not long ago, but by then I hadn't been there for years! Perhaps I should revisit my old home town sometime?
What did you think of Die Another Day? I thought it was interesting - Certainly not as bad as reviews suggested. Mind you, I didn't think Star Trek: Nemesis was quite as bad as the reviews suggested either. Perhaps there's something wrong with me?

Lance, there's nothing wrong with you? Nemesis is a Nemesis to the remainder it is pointless- the writer pluggered up The Time Machine just to get on with this convoluted piece of drivel.
As for Die Another Day- makes me wonder where and when the next film will take place, running faster than the classic ones, this new mould of 'action films' creates new notions though aside from MWTGG catch sunlight make into weapon idea, it's certainly an improvement on the last however Stephens doesn't hold the menace of Bean, the ambition of Pryce or the sharpness of Carlyle.
However more so in the use of science fiction then with Moonraker, I think this spoils it really?
Why exactly did Zao still have diamonds in his face? Why not remove them?
Though the underrated film must go to 28 days later- great story almost Wyndham in approach, pushed off as a horror film- no, post apocalyptic satirical story. Very gripping, I think I was the only one in the cinema not be be jolted with shocks?
Now that definitely marks me as weird!

Yes, John whatsisface (Logan, I think?) who wrote Nemesis and the awful Time Machine remake. Strangely, he didn't hash up Gladiator ... although it had a good director, so perhaps that's why.
I did think that Die Another Day had perhaps too much Science Fiction Macguffins in it ... but alternatively, what else is there to do? James Bond has already covered itself more than enough times, and it's probably good that they're moving on with it?
Even "Agent Under Fire" (console game) played pretty much the usual Bond cards.
28 Days later looked quite spooky in the trailer ... and I think it lived up to that potential. Perhaps we're both weird?

Perhaps after all- who are we to question a world where the adventures of a boy wizard govern us all?
Where Sean Connery is now grey, bearded and well into his seventies and bad writers shouldn't be let near science fiction!
What else is there to do? I had an idea about a scarred terrorist called Raven who lived up to his name of scavenging an army from war criminals and terrorists on the run and he'd feed people to things... well he would disecct people alive and feed pieces to crows and ravens around him...
After that we might as well we trapped in a parallel world?
