well journal, life is just absolutely against me. im lake an accident node in the universe, anything that can go wrong, goes wrong. kinda fun though.

Mate, I know what you mean -

In the last 12 months I've had a business go under, lost my next job as Editor of a magazine because another department's computer blew-up (!!???!) (but I won the following industrial tribunal), I'm single again and 'chomping on the bit' , broke and thoroughly depressed by the state of the world..........

BUT....it's all relative anyway:
this morning I spent hours enthralled watching the birds on my bird table, I recently spent the most wonderful nights I've ever spent wild camping (at Loch Dee in Scotland), I remembered last night just how incredibly pretty a girl's smile was who I used to date when I worked in the US and I also thought a few days ago that I could smell my deceased dog in my room with me though she's been dead for about three years.

In short - life sucks, but mostly only because there are a lot of people who suck - however, it seems that, at least in H2G2, there are still some decent people left in the world who can make me smile through the bad times..
