Here’s a thematic word puzzle which I didn’t have time to complete during November.

November is over, so I don't have to guess.

Oh dear, you put so much work into these, but I have absolutely no idea. A synonym for decollete would be cleavage. I can't think of anything else. But that doesn't fit into any of the letter combinations.

The British islander could be an Irishman, a Scotsman or an Englishman. Or a Yorkshireman, a Devonshireman,...... But I suspect that, both the options being the first in the list, it's unlikely that the answer is hidden in the *AN anyway.

My brain will not do any further gymnastics in this direction. And, judging by the similar quizzes in November, I'm never going to get there. I will follow the thread with interest.

You're on the right lines with cleavage, but I'm looking for décolleté as an adjective - maybe describing a dress, for example.

Centrifuged is close but not the word I'm looking for.

I'm trying to do these, but hampered by a shortage of time and ideas at the moment. I did bash away at it for a while last night.

I thought decollete was LOW NECKED.

And how about CENTRIFUGAL?

Can anybody do anything with that?

Centrifugal isn't quite correct - I'm looking for a verb here.

Hmm... If clue 8 is Molasses, that would give Lemass as the name but I can't see which answer that would relate to...

I can see the pattern - they're all Taosigh (prome ministers) of Ireland.

If that's true then other answers should include Haughey, Kenny, Bruton, Reynolds, Ahern.

How about De Valera?
