Cant find any of mine in the list, Maidstone assizes has a record though, great great great great grand father about from Ruckinge, Kent arrested with 17 others for capital offences including murder and suuggling.
A good lawyer had the sentance reduce to transportation, Tasmania where he earned a pardon and became a well off farmer.

Baron Grim Posted Nov 8, 2013
A decade or so ago, I did some internet geneology and brief went down the wrong rabbit hole. There were two John Ingrams who named their first two sons the same names and both had plantations in Virginia in the 18th century. The other John, not my direct ancestor, (but I'm reasonably sure a cousin) was mentioned in a court affidavit regarding a land squabble. The case regarded a disputed sale of land. The seller was suing the buyer for giving him counterfit British currency. The affidavit was from a fourth party relating the following story. (I really wish I could find it now and copy it here, but I'll try and rely on my memory).
"I was visiting John Ingram on an evening a few weeks ago. After dinner he invited me into his barn to drink a dram. Shortly upon entering the barn, John Ingram directs my attention to a tarp covering a sizable lump. He pulled back the tarp and revealed a pallet of counterfit British script. I implored him to be rid of it. "It will bring shame to you and shame to your family", I said to him. He replied, "It comes from nothing and it shall go to nothing..." [he continued, but I can't remember at the moment, the witty summation of his statement other than it was quite apparent he wasn't a Loyalist.]
Apparently, the defendent in the case had recieved the currency in question from a previous transaction with John Ingram.
I was a bit disappointed that he was just a cousin and not my great^7 father.

Family name include a Surgeon, a felon in a one line sentence (not from the judge) and a victim. My Mother's maiden names of Johnstone and Hubbard provided far too many records, but are very common names.
Interesting, as always, Icy.
