As bad as I thought, mmmmmmmm, nope, worse! Full of old ppl, comments like "does she know the right measure?" (mmmmm, well no, I don't, only been working in pubs for, well, 8 yrs, on and off, havent a clue!!!) Couldnt say it though This woman, hanging off my arm, great, and the music, well, if that is if you can call it music, about 7 different insturments, all playing there own different song did my head in as you can tell got through it with gritted teeth, oh and the other thing was, I found out we have a no smoking area in the pub, ive only been working there for over a year, but these old ppl ended up telling me not to smoke in one particular area drove me up the wall. Ok, whinge over, (I think)
Bristol, well you'll have a GREAT time and you will be fine Just think, that means a week till im old
So what are you reading? A friend of mine bought me a book for me birthday, Stephen King, Everything's Eventual, its all short stories, Im a Stephen King nut, think he is great!
Well, I'll catch up with you some other time, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Ah, .
I'm reading 'Good Omens' by Niel Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. My favourite author is Robert Rankin, I've read ten of his novels which only leaves another 14 before I meet him again at the Sproutlore tenth anniversary convention in October. I haven't read much Stephen King... though I'm thinking of giving either 'Green Mile' or 'It' a read in the near future...
Hope you had.have a good weekend...

Green Mile, really good book, in fact, great, for once as well, the film is near enough word perfect, they couldnt have cast the film any better than they did, really good, IT, mmmmm, not sure if the film was scarier or the book, as I find clowns really scarly in films, (you no evil one's) but the book is great, if you are going to read Stephen King, do NOT start on Needful Things, very long winded, and he takes his time to get into the story line, you have to be really into him to be able to read that book, if not, you would give up, and never read another book of his again. I highly recommend, Rose Madder, Green Mile, Misery and The Stand, all very well written.
My weekend has been very quiet, my sister came over Fri night, we had dinner, than sat up playing Monopoly, then Sat, my best mate was down from Lincoln, so went round there and had dinner, and watched a video, and was up the pub this afternoon. So incredibly quiet, I usually end up having mad one's, but it made a nice change now im sat here twidling me thumbs! But there you go! How was yours?

The film version of 'It' is likely responsible for my fear of Clowns, full stop. I've had 'Green Mile' as grat book but I wasn't really that taken by the film... 'Misery' was a film that did grab me though... So I think I've found 3 titles to try and see if a Stephen King fandom developes from there...
My weekend was quiet... the norm these days... Mooched online for a bit, read abook... listened to music and played a PC Trek game... A good weekend though in that I didn't get very low mood on the Sunday.
Next weekend will be very different!

Hello you so come on then how was your weekend, was Bristol as good as you thought it would be, or was it better

From my journal:
I made my way homeways on Monday and made it safely and without event so I will coment upon no further. Friday there were some crashes on the Mwhatever so ment my coach was delayed by about 50mins. Met Bob after a brief panic that he'd gotten fed up waiting and had gone off never to return. Met Bob's rats *shuddders* soon after reaching his house. This was after trying to board a bus which didn't have change for my £20 note which led to more mild panic. Fortunately another one came along 5 minutes later.
Went out later that evening. Got very anxious and paranoid on the walk into town but nothing I couldn't handle. Met Saturnine, but somethig I'd smoked hadn't agreed with my meds so I hardly spoke for fear that that if I directed any energy away from sitting up straight and staring at my pint glass I'd plumet from my chair into a whirling pit of oblivion.
The BierKellar was an interesting experiance, one which despite appearances to the contrary I did enjoy but I was still mildly fudged up so I was warey of conversation over the noise... I mean music
Saturday was a good laugh but more sedated.
Sunday was The S#!*, I mean the FullCycle crew almost all my favourite Drum and Bass heros did a set, Kamanchi [Krust and Die] performed live stuff from there forthe coming release featuring Tali. Twas seriously fudging great!!! I did a spot of Dancing to the Wu Tang crew... admired their gall at inviting sexy females to come and poarty with them as they left the stage. Then continbued to move to the music for the rest of the night... I say move because I was a tad tipsy and physically tired so what I was doing probably couldn't be called dancing.... Before going to I Kamanchi event we took in First Degree Burns, I liked them quite alot... [not as much as I liked the D&B though].
Yeah so it was an amazing weekendAs good as I'd hoped and nothing like as bad as I had feared
May I add you to my friends list?
Hope you commemorated your birthday well?

Yes, you may add me to your friends list
Well sounds like you had a good weekend, mine, mmmmmmm, too much alchol, went out clubbing Fri night, and went back with my mate and her fella, crashed out on his bed, so they got left with the camp bed, I wore these amazing pair of shoes, with a 3 inch stilleto heel, and in the morning couldnt face putting them on, everyone wanted breakfast, so i ended up having to borrow some clothes of my mates fella, and a pair of shoes of one of the guys to walk in to town, i looked so stupid, but there you go, worked all day Sat, then Sat night went out and did the same again, (but managed to get home this time) and on the sun, worked all day, then sat down to have a few drinks before going out that night, but my boss gave me half pint of sambuca and black vodka (which i thought was coke) and i downed it to prove a point, quite amazing really that my mate came to pick me up, to go out, and ended up taking me home so i could go to bed and sleep it off! Woke up in my sons bed, wondering what the hell i was doing in there! couldnt beleive, but yes, a very good birthday!!
Glad you had a good one and see you around another time, as im going to go and watch bad girls now, as the new series has started and really like that programme. Have a good one

Sounds as if your weekend went well
Hi there, Lost...
Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted May 11, 2003
Last weekend went well... This weekend could have gone better but I'm trying to look at the p[ositive of it... I saw Xmen2 which was great despite some minor plot flaws, Old School whiuch was quite funny and Welcome to Collinwood which was great too Spent last nigfht in hospital with some cuts to my arm after I got agitated about stranding myself 9miles from home.
I'm terrible with kites, not a skill that's ever come naturally to me...

HELP_IM_LOST (why are there not enough hours in the day?) Posted May 12, 2003
Xmen2, havent seen it, and doesnt really appeal to me, but can't wait until the Martix is finally released, got to go see that!
Kites, mmmmmmmm, well, you should have seen me trying to fly it my dad, brother and son where all laughing at me! No good at flying kites either, but was funny trying to do it
And, hey you, take care of yourself, there is always positives out there, sometimes it just harder to find the positives, but take care

Not even to see Wolverine?!!
Seeing the trailer for Matrix reloaded I think it's something I've gotta see too!
Saw my GP today, he's good at helping me to think and see my progress in a positive way... I do try, never doubt that I do try...
