Hungry toilets
I have an interesting theory. Well, you may not find it interesting, but I do.
I have found that toilets are very choosy about what they decide to digest. Tonight I parked my car in a barrier, tickety operated normal car-park. Wandered down to the pub to meet some friends. Went to the loo as you might do on a normal evening of socialising. As I turned around to flush the afore-mentioned toilet. I caught a brief glimpse of my parking ticket swimming away happily down the u-bend.
This, unfortunately is not the first thing I have lost down a toilet. This is not actually true. I dropped a fresh, brand new packet of tobacco down the toilet, yet the toilet conveniently refused it with thanks. Ofcourse, this then meant I had to fish the offending article out of the bowl-very pleasant as I'm sure you'll agree!
My theory is this- Toilets do actually have minds of their own. Some may be fed too often (as was obviously the case with the tobacco toilet-that is unless he was a non-smoker) and some too infrequently (as was the case tonight with the parking ticket! I think someone should carry out some kind of experimental trial to test this theory. But would it be ethical to starve or over-feed a toilet once we have accepted it has a mind of its own. No, it would not be ethical.
Therefore, my theory cannot be tested and subsequently cannot be disproved. I will, from now on, think twice before bearing my bottom to an under-fed toilet and I urge you all to do the same!
Thank you.
