Hi fellow researchers,
I became interested in the original guide during my teens (back then it was a trilogy in the usual sense of the word) and it has been a part of my life ever since.
Although I waited with much anticipation for the publication of So Long And Thanks... (my favourite book (probably because I fell in love with Fenchurch ( I was at that age))) I could not bring myself to read Mostly Harmless for many years. When I finally did, I was gutted. All those characters that I loved so much were killed off (Arthur should have made sandwiches well into his twighlight years). A month or two after that, Mr Adams died, and, to my eternal sadness, his characters (like himself) will never have the opportunity to come back to life.
Currently, I am reading The Salmon Of Doubt. This is reminding me of the good times, and it is why I decided to make my contribution.
If I can lift someones spirits (even for a moment) then it has all been worth the effort.
