My new baby first cousin once removed :-)

My cousin's wife gave birth by emergency c-section last night to George Albert, my new first cousin once removed. He was about a month premature, but he weighed 4lb 12oz, so he isn't too tiny. I think he's in an incubator right now, but mother and baby are apparantly doing well
Hopefully we can go over and see them once mother and baby are back home.

Update - George isn't in an incubator, he's doing really well (and I've seen piccies of him with his proud parents) and he's ready to go home as soon as his mum has recovered from the cesearian.

hi..
i hope you dont mind me intruding, but....
my son was born 26 years ago.
7 weeks premature and weighing only 4lb 14oz.
he spent a few days in an incubator, but was allowed home after 10 days.
he is now 6ft 4+ and a strapping fit and healthy young man.
i know its early days and being prem can be worrying, but eventually it will all sort itelf out and he will grow to be a fine young man too.

It's not intruding, it's here for all to read and comment on
I don't think there are any worries about little George any more, it's just a case of waiting until Mum's recovered and then they can go home. I don't know if I'll have a chance to go over and visit though, and it's a busy few weeks coming up and then I go back to uni.
