I'm still a bit new here, & just thought I'd pop in on a few of the recent arrivals like yourself. You know, just to say 'hello', 'welcome aboard', maybe offer you a smiley - ale & some smiley - crisps, or whatever...there's a rather sumptuously laid out buffet table over there smiley - winkeye. You can use some of those symbols/icons by just typing smileys into the search window - that'll take you to a whole long list of 'em.

Feel free to click on my nickname, to visit my space if you like. Otherwise, expect a visit frrom an Assistant Community Editor (or ACE), who'll give you an official welcome & a few more tips to make you feel a bit more at home here. Again, welcome - always good to greet an Aussie! Hope you manage to get around this first while, you can ask me if you have any trouble...I'm no expert, but I can call in some help.

Bye for now *waves*

Hellooooo...
sorry I left it so long to reply to your generous offer of beer (funny, even though I am an aussie, I can't stand the stuff. But I appreciate the sentiment, and will gladly share a wine, or preferably coffee, anytime. espacially when accompanied by fine, dark dark dark chocolate. Yumm!

I have been a bit busy with Uni stuff far the past couple of months, but that will all be over soon. I will be checking my space here every few days, and I promise to learn how to use the smileys better (I have looked at them, but that's all).

So again, apologies for not replying sooner, and hope to hear from you soon

Cheers
Kylie

Thats not a problem kylie_may! So smiley - coffee & dark, dark smiley - choc it is then! Actually I prefer the coffee too, & find it an excellent combination with smiley - choc in general, but certainly dark smiley - choc !

So, please accept my apologies for the misunderstanding, ok.

Hello again,

no misunderstandings, so no need for apologies! I appreciate all generosities.

I don't have much news, really. I have been too busy with uni to "have a life" (although learning IS a life, as far as I'm concerned). About the only other thing I've done lately worth commenting on is reading "The Salmon of Doubt", I've no idea how long ago it was published, it is a compilation of some bits from Douglas Adam's Mac's - interviews, letters and other bits he was working on before his death. I haven't read the last section of it (which is the beginnings of what would have been another Dirk Gently novel). I must admit, though, I'm not an obsessive DNA fan; I haven't read any of the dirk gently books all the way through, although I own one of them.

So, How about you? I am going off to read your page/space again now, since I know I had a look a few weeks ago, but alas! too many late nights have pushed most of it out of my head. I will also go and look at the "newcomers" listing - I'm not usually outgoing, but I may introduce myself to someone, as you did to me. (Thanks for doing that, by the way. A welcome from someone whose job it is is good, but a hail from a generally friendly person is quite another!

hope to hear from you soon.
kylie
