MY TWO CENTS (Kent Brockman refrence here...)
or if you prefer
RAMBLINGS BY ME
Ramble numero uno
Why are all meat flavors compare to that of chicken? You can say "frogs'legs taste like chicken", but it sounds weird if you say "chicken tastes like frogs' legs." Is the taste of chicken some sort of universal standard point of reference in the food world?
Another thing, I've always found "Chicken of the Sea" the strangest name for a tuna company. This seems to point to the argument that chicken is the classic favorite meat from dry land, so then as tuna is the classic favorite meat from the sea, we get "Chicken of the Sea." Why can't we have "Tuna of the Land"? ("because it sounds stupid", you say, "well I agree with you", I say, then you say, : "Then why are you even suggesting it?" so I say: "Because I'm bored", but then you say: "Only the boring are bored," so I say "Shut up! .")
"Ask any Mermaid You Happen to See...What's the Best Tuna? Chicken of the Sea!"
PS: I'm sorry I told you to shut up. You're right. I am boring. Please forgive me.

Ugh
Posted Mar 27, 2003
Before I even attempted to lift my eyelids after being shaken awake by my mom and falling on to the floor, I knew today was a day not to be bothered with. It was destined to be a mess. How surprised I was then to discover as the day ran its course to find I had been right. The thing is, I'm never right. I'm always mind-bogglingly wrong. Well, that's the way things are according to a wonderful aquaintance of mine. She is, maybe you've guessed, always right (according to her). No one can convince her otherwise. She is therefore never surprised when she predicts a day to be fit for the trash can and it turns out to fit the trashcan's dimensions perfectly. Maybe that's why she wasn't at school today. This day wouldn't have fit in a dumpster, let alone a trashcan.

Douglas Adams
Posted Mar 22, 2003
I was delighted today find a photograph of Douglas Adams on the backflap of "Salmon of a doubt." Strangely, I had not noticed it! I had no idea what he looked like before today. He looks wonderfully kind in the photo.
