Introduction
Kenny Mutter is a much used nickname that I have lived with for nearly thirty years. The nickname comes from a drunken night with Matt Martin and Andy Brown (neither of whom I've seen for far too long) and has nothing whatsoever to do with Barbie dolls. In fact, there's a standing prize for anyone who can guess the origins - a pint of bitter for ex-pupils of the King's School Worcester, Durham, Sheffield or Sheffield Hallam Universities; a quart for all other UK residents and a gallon for anyone else!
Anyway, enough of that. My research interests are quite varied, and I hope to be putting out some articles on shooting and conservation, quantitative analysis, real ale and history. There may well also be some more light-hearted bits on village cricket (especially Swan Alfrick CC), cheap cider and the impossibility of getting a decent kebab after 1a.m. on the Isle of Dogs.
So please check back soon to see what I'm up to, and let me know what you think the origin of the nickname is...
Ken
