Apparently this word is in common usage in the south of england. I'm utterly confused. I've only heard it in Blackadder and I am now utterly utterly confuslified. Ah well...

I don't know about anyone else in the south, but myself and my friends use it ironically, and rarely.

ahah! cunning. well xander is denying that it is southern and claims that it is infact an americanism. which is a load of fetid dingos kidneys anyway coz its from blackadder and blacky clearly isnt american now is he... hohummmm

I always fougnt huzzah was an old upper class British thing;
eg. "Huzzah, we've won the boat race old chap, jolly good show, oh huzzah, huzzah."
I can't think of anyone using it nowadays except to take the p**s, or in Jeeves & Wooster productions.
