I have to admit that I am a fan of the film Hackers. As such, I could not resist popping by to verify that you are borrowing your nick from that film. It is a unique way to do so, I might add.

Of course. Very fine film - have the Dvd in arms reach in fact.
btw collections of weapons annoy me, weapons are for using! Someone at my house has a katana replica and they won't even let me try fencing with it.

I have some Boken (wooden katanas) that I have used in some small manner. I'd let you play w/ those . The Wakizashi, however, is for show only. It is pooly made and the blade is cheap steel, so I would not use it. I've a friend with a very old katana that is reputedly from the Tokogowa era of Japan. It is quite lovely.
I also have the DVD (my second copy as most of my collection was stolen about a year ago) and I quite enjoy watching the film. I have to laugh through much of it, as it's technology is in a word spurious. I love how one of the characters has the name Emanuell Goldstein, which is also the name of the publisher of the hacker magazine 2600 and a reference to Farenheit 451.

My fave line is now where they find Acid Burns computer and are impressed:
"Wow! Its a 26.6"
And here I am complaining about my 46k connection
I like the idea of an alternate universe where everyone is a closet hacker and getting better with computers instantly means you can rollerblade/skateboard!

What I actually like about that line was this..
"It is a 28.8 BPS modem" What that *meant* to say was a 28.8 KBPS modem instead. 28.8 bits per second is slower than the oldest modem I have ever owned.

*hangs head in shame and bows to superior film knowladge*
