Thanks for dropping by,

The MUD is indeed very cool, and is getting better all the time (don't believe what you read on the player boards! smiley - winkeye ).

From what I could see the entry on here, it is mainly cut 'n' pasted from the game itself, so if you've read all that then you are probably well on your way to getting to grips with the game.

A small warning tho, the gaming area is massive, really, the map of AM is here http://home.elp.rr.com/discworldmud/images/am110.gif

Wandering out of AM could get you totally and utterly lost forever because the surrounds of AM are 'terrains' (thousands upon thousands of rooms streached out for what feels like miles in all directions)... so best stick to cities. smiley - winkeye

Other than that I hope to see you there! smiley - biggrin

thanks

No problem.

Of course, you don't have to start in AM, but it is the city which has been thought out with 'newbies' in mind... smiley - smiley

thanks

That's a bit unfair - CWC (Bes Pelargic) have also gone to a lot of effort to make their area newbie friendly.

I'm not sure I'd recommend any of the other starting locations to a complete newbie, though. smiley - smiley
