Mistakes over gender wouldn't bother me - I've never
quite got the hang of all that gender business.
I am a boy by the way, at least today.

I live down here in a little village called Hoo near
Rochester in Kent. I am married and I have a little
boy called (guess what) - Freddie! Guess who after?!

I am in a band - we are called Stalking Mary (this week).
We play stuff thats a bit punky, a bit proggy, a bit
rageagainsthemachineey. We are rather good actually and
I am a pretty handy guitarist - egotistical eh?

On the other hand, I don't mind admitting that I am
absolutely hopeless at ballet. Still, I keep on trying...

oh no, we never go anywhere - we only do about two gigs
a year! Gigs are a bit of a chore really, we are a lazy
band. Its bloody good though when you are up there twanging,
its all the other stuff thats painful, like lugging amps
around (I have a reasonably sized 'Marshall' - cor missus).

So you drink? I am now trying to go a few nights without
a little snifter of red wine. Its a bit dull ain't it,
not drinking? Post Christmas 'detox' I suppose...

I noticed 'Embrace' - the band - mentioned in your introduction,
funny because I was listening to a song by them the other day
that bought back a few memories - 'come back to what you know'.
V V Good song that.

Anyway I'm off to beddy now, I have a dull job to go to tommorrow
which involves number cruncing for Maidstone Borough Council.

Ta ta for now .. tune up you air guitar and give it some! WAH!

oy oy saveloy!

All that talk about gigs must have woken my band up -
they've gone and organised one now at the end of Jan!

I shall be strapping my reasonably sized marshall on my back
...and my cool guitar.

My cool guitar is an epihone les paul zak wylde custom (phew)
people used to come up to me and say how cool it was, but
it was used by that divvy 'taffy' twat on the X factor so they probably
won't say that now (thats the same kind of guitar - not actually the
same one!). It has yellow and black concentric circles on it,
can you dig that, daddy-o? Or mummy-o rather.

Ahh rock and roll eh? As Manowar once said :
heavy metal, or no metal at all - wimps and posers - leave the hall!

I'll be leaving the hall then...

Seriously though - have you ever heard Manowar? They are poopswani!!
I seem to be burbling now - its the alcohol that does it. That's right - I'm back on the sauce!

i'm goin watchin a band on friday, its my neices-boyfriend band, there playing in a pub somewhere in Manchester, they are quite good, tho i cant really describe what they soundlike, but theyv'e been in the recordin studios last week doin a cd,how cool is that,i have asked can i be their backin singer, but i just get met with a few certain swear wordssmiley - laugh, and i dont know why cuz i'm quite good at singin,i think its a man thingsmiley - laugh..

I don't think you can beat going to see a band in a pub
rather than some bunch of americans in a stadium somewhere
who are the size of ants.

I am well situated for gigs being only a hour away from london -
however, I haven't been to see any proper famous bands for years.
I'm a bit of a dishonourable pansy when it comes to gigs -
all that pushing and shoving - how uncouth! If you could sit at
a table sipping a glass of merlot I'd probably be alright.

Funny thing with me, I'm the world's most unlikely rocker!
Oh well, takes all sorts. You must think me a frightful,
whats the term? - 'southern nancy'?
I confess - guilty as charged.

Still, I wouldn't have minded going to that Freddie tribute
concert that you went to - I'd have put up with pushing and shoving for that - respec!

I would also drag my arse to wembley if phil lynott could be somehow raised from the dead, put in a pair of tight leather trousers,
and made to do one last Lizzy gig.

You should get yourself a guitar and have a go - it aint hard.

heehee... every post of yours make me laugh,,"southern pansy"..heehee,sorry but that tickled mesmiley - laugh...but i didn't think that..smiley - whistle..

ive been to many gigs over the years, but the embrace concert i went to in nov was the first one ive been to in about 4years,,the last one before that was Marilyn Manson and Offspring within 2days of each other...they were superb,i squeeze me way to the front most concerts i go to,,,and nearly get trampled on each time, but its funsmiley - boing..
yeah i have to admit the freddie tribute was fantastic,,pity you couldn't get to watch it ..tho i ended up right at the back in the seats,i wasn't at all impressed, its the people i went with were utter pansys smiley - steam

but i do love goin to smaller venues, coz you get to see them properly,,,i actually got Embraces autographs aswell the night i watched them..smiley - droolsmiley - drool

anyway have you got a name...were on post 11.? now and i still dont know ya name...
and what does the name "pink is the colour" mean??

My name is Jay. It used to be Jason but I changed it to
fit with my androgynous status. I'd better tell you what
that means because its not a word you'd have up north where
men are men, women are women, and pigeons are fancied.
It sort of means 'of no particular gender'. I suppose,
if you were depraved enough to want to imagine me, I'd say
I was a bit like Eddie Izzard. Although I don't look like
him - I'm a tall, skinny, 9 and a half stone, long haired
personage - and yes I do wear make-up and high heeled boots
and men do come up to me and say, gruffly :
'are you some kind of queer?!' - to which I have to reply
that I suppose I am some kind of one, but not the
conventional kind. Either that or they ask me if I want
a shag, in which case I have to politely decline.
I'm not sure my wife would approve - unless it was a
threesome!
Er, perhaps not even then actually.

so the pigeons are fancied up ere then are they!?!..,smiley - laugh

well the way youv'e just described yourself,i would just put you down as a rocker, and lots of male rockers wear make-up,wether it be in everyday life ,videos,or tryin to look pretty for the camera..so tell all those who do ask you things to feck off,as its none of there business.
you are what you are so feck um all, thats what i saysmiley - biggrin

anyway jay,ive only known you for one night and youv'e made me laugh me t!ts off so many times, your a very funny personsmiley - cuddle

Yes, sorry about all that north / south stuff, I just
can't help myself.

I love the north, I've even been there a few times: how
I love your little corner shops inhabited by men in brown
coats called 'Arkwright', and your large metal angels
with outstreched arms, and your flatcaps and dirty faced
street urchins. How quaint, I say to all my chums as we
drive by clutching our teddy bears.

Blackpool is nice and tacky, although I hear Morecombe
has more nice old fashioned sea-side decor (I like that
kind of thing). Are you anywhere near Wigan? George Orwell
wrote a book in which he took 'the road there...' but
it wasn't there at all - which must have f*cked him off!

Anyway, bye for now - time for sleepy bo bo's.
