Hello again,
there are no chatrooms as such, but if you know someone is online you can chat to them.
This may sound a bit complicated but it does work. Type this on your page <,/>online</.> but where I have put a comma, put a full stop instead.
If I write it with a full stop you won't be able to see it. like this. <./>online</.>
when you click on it it will show you who is online.
This is how I found your name, it says if someone is new.
I saw that you needed help and just offered it.
The smiley icons are easy to do. is <SMILEY> but don't use capital letters.
Click on any smiley and it will take you to the full range of them, and tell you how to write them.

There is something important you need to do.
I assume you are using a digibox. There is one major fault with this. A lack of memory. If a conversation gets too long, you get an html error code, and you have to unplug.
There is a way to get over this though. You have to change your page to Plain.
Click on my name, and go to my page. Look for a link that says:- Click Here To Make This Page Digibox Friendly
Click on it, and the page will turn gray.
At the left hand side of the page click on Preferences, and once there, change the skin to Plain, then update at the bottom of the page. Your personal space will then be digibox friendly permanently.
I know it sounds a pain, but it is neccesary, believe me! lol

Em, you may think by my page that I use a pc. but I don't. I have NEVER used one. All that is done using a digibox. I am from LD too. It is a slow learning process, but just take it a bit at a time.
The most important thing is to make your page digibox friendly. Once you've done that, then you can learn more.
I will help you all I can.

No, you won't lose the link. It's a good idea though, to email it to yourself, then you'll have it on your sent list as well.
Store one too, then it doesn't matter if you accidently delete one.

if your page is gray, and it says h2g2 at the top of the page, you are indeed digibox friendly.
My name in LD was DaveM DaveM1 and latterly just dcm.
I didn't use it that much though. Even though, it is sad that it had to close. I don't like yoome2 and I won't pay for it.
If you look around in here you will come across lots of people who are from LD.
Once you get used to h2g2, I can tell you how to put your own links on your page, but until then you can use the ones on mine.
Perhaps you would like to visit The FoLDers Arms. It is run by ex LDers.

how old is the little one?
you're both not over the flu' yet.
Have you come across anyone you knew in LD yet? There are more joining this every day.
It's not ideal but it beats yoome2.
Have you used any of the search boxes yet. If you like BBC TV there is loads of stuff to be found about it.
There is message boards for all programmes like Eastenders, Buffy etc.
If you want to know anything at all, feel free to ask.

yes I'm married, with 2 grown kids, and my daughter has a son aged 5.
She sometimes uses h2g2. Her name in
here is jodie.
My wife's name is Moira, and her name in here is Laguna Sunrise.
She doesn't use it much though.
I notice that manda and loup dargent have been in touch with you. They are both great guys, and very helpful to everyone.
Once you get used to this, I'm sure you'll make lots of new friends.
If you look to see who's online, you'll find that the majority of people are glad to chat to you. Just click on their name and leave a message.
You seem to be doing just fine.
