Nothing funny this time, this is Unashamed Self Indulgence. Just been having a pootle around the Stoke-on-Trent bit of BBCi, and spotted these messages on the messageboard there...

Does anyone know what the age limit is for Livid and Friends of Ken at Chicago Rock this thursday?
I saw Livid last week at the Sugarmill n they RULED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On BBC News, about the China space launch.
A BBC correspondent in Beijing, Louisa Lim, described the reports as the " first chink" in the official secrecy covering the space programme.
Does anyone else think this could have been phrased better?

Completely random good news!

So, last night I'm at the studio with my band (CHEAP PLUG-- http://www.livid.tk ), and Psy (singer) says he's got some news. He's been in touch with someone at a certain well-known computer game company, who might want to put one of our songs in one of their games, or even in the movie based on the game! 
Nothing definite yet, but this guy is coming to see us in a fortnight with a contract, and wants to come to Loughborough with us while we're recording our next CD.
I'm half scared, half happy, and about two-thirds sceptical at the mo. Still, it's got to be worth a shot, hasn't it?

Last night

Plan was, go out, have fun, get drunk. It was a foolproof plan, and it was going to work, too.
So I get home from work about half past 6. Babysitter has cancelled, and Tyler's got a cold. Well, I say he's got a cold, it's more like a severe case of Captain Trips. I ring up the band, say I'm not coming out, and catch up with TV, in bed by 11 because I'm feeling a bit rough.
Am I living the rock and roll dream or what?
And now I'm here at work, suitably flu'd up. So everyone thinks that I went out last night and am now incredibly hung-over.
sums it up, I think....
