I was referring to my picture in az's album first, then telling myself off for not checking what I'd typed before posting the reply.

You'd think I should know better by now, given how often I make typo's, but there you are.

The photo of me is very young looking I've aged sinse then

about that my scanner is broken need a new one

Now that we've reached over 400 photos - and with our third anniversary coming up - I thought a guide entry about the photo gallery (possibly mentioned in The Post) would be a good idea.

I was hesitant to do this at first because I didn't know how much work would be involved, how successful it would be, etc, and so I wanted to keep it as a personal 'word-of-mouth' project.

At this point I think the main difference would be that, as more of a community project, researchers who don't know me might feel more comfortable about sending in their photos. Especially as I'm not around h2g2 as much as before and don't get a chance to 'meet' as many new researchers as I used to.

So ... any thoughts on this?

I think it's a good idea. I'm writing for <./>ThePost</.> anyway, about hootoo-related things, so if you don't want to do it yourself, I could do so for the next edition in about two weeks.

Thanks Bel, but I think I'd like to take a crack at writing it myself. Though if you have any suggestions for the entry you could leave them here - I've got one 'under construction' at the moment and would prefer it if people didn't comment there until it's finished.

Wait - I've already thought of something you might be able to help me with! I've been looking all over for a good graphic - something photo or photo album related - and can't find one anywhere. Failing that, I thought of just using the HG twisty logo thing but also can't find the coding for that. Any ideas?

That's fine with me, az, you know best how it all started and developed anyway, and is always on the lookout for submissions.
