Good for you! Two nights in a row!

I usually read when I'm suddenly wide awake at 4am, but the last two nights I've turned on the laptop. Well, I also knew that I didn't have to get up at 7 (well, except to feed the cats).

Nog always tells me to wake him up if I can't sleep and he'll give me a backrub, but I hate disrupting his sleep in the middle of the night. So I've waited till about 6am these past two nights, gave the cats a snack so they wouldn't pester us again at 7, then gently woke Nog up. He's so lovely, always wakes up smiling at me. So we chatted for awhile, then he rubbed my back and kept talking to me until I fell asleep again and we both ended up getting a couple hours of extra sleep. Mmmmm...

Unfortunately the OH isn't a great sleeper either - he tends to get up and watch motorbike racing on the TV (not exactly restful) - I tend to wake up about 10 minutes after he's disappeared!

Had to get shifting this morning as today was a "Mum visit", we like to get down to Weston fairly early as she seems to be a little be more with it first thing. Then we went for a good (but extremely windy) walk on Brean Down to blow away the residential home atmosphere. After that amount of fresh air, I should sleep tonight as well!

Hmmm...the Nogster can fall asleep just about anytime, anywhere - I really envy this and keep asking him to give me lessons. He tells me it's all about breathing and 'shutting down' ...

It's very kind of him to offer me these soothing backrubs, even though half the time he falls asleep again in 'mid-rub', bless him.

When you lived in Bristol, did you ever get down to Weston super Mud??? If you did it's the big hill at the far left end of the beach (facing the sea!) - not terribly exotic, the sea was a delicate shade of sludge as it always is at Weston! Brean itself is horrible - all caravans and holiday camp!
