Possibly derived from Con Fu Sung, the minor Chinese poet/philosopher? Perhaps you would know?

Vowel rhymes, yet. And that scansion!

'Roses are red..Lettuce is green..My face is a laugh..but..Yours is obscene.' Perfect scansion, pure rhyme. Try it sometime, gentle skimmer.

Well, you've seen my 'personal statement', and I'd like to think I might feel at home soon, but......dunno.

I might just write an entry or two. But maybe possibly who knows perhaps I'll just correct a few factual mistakes (Beatles and CDA, already), and put right the odd typo, mistake, odd variant grammar and stuff.

Emmily..with 2m's..I confess..I can't spell....A few years ago..when I chose this name..(on another site)..I logically reasoned..that if Emma was spelt with 2m's..then Emmily..must be too..my logic was wrong....

It was Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap..going back in time to..put right what once was wrong..

Roses are red ect. was what an old friend wrote in my book when we left school..I've long lost the book..but..never forgot those words....I think I might get a few negative comments..if I changed scream to obscene....

Thanks for your kind message. Please don't feel that you have to reply to this one: I won't be offended, and I think it might be better if I just mooch around h2g2 and see if I want to engage a little more. You will see from my corrections about the MMT EPs and the CDA that I can't leave erroneous matter alone. Which might just irritate people. I know it sometimes gets on people's nerves when I correct errors in their manuscripts. Even when they ask me to do it.

A few points you raise, and which I should clarify. (See what I mean?).

I didn't realise you meant SB from Quantum Leap. I thought you meant the author. Much more my hammer. I wondered about the righting wrongs connection though. I get the impression that most h2g2 people would instantly think of a TV show rather than Malone Dies. Which does not fill me with joy.

ConFuSung - leaden attempt at humour at your typo.

I entirely agree about scream/obscene, I just put the first thing I thought of that was a pure rhyme. I still prefer 'Lettuce is green' to 'Peas are green'.

I'll try 'Ask'.

Thank you pointing out the typo..that was part of Copy & Paste I'd been using since last June..I'd never noticed or had it pointed out before..even after reading you expanation of confusung..I still had to read it a couple of times..thinking..typo..what typo?..lol..it has now been corrected..
