Can't remember if that's one of the ones I've read or not. Anything in particular you don't like about it- so I know not to recommend anything similar? 
Right now I'm reading a book Edward the Bonobo sent me, called "Poor Things". It's OK, but I can't actually recommend it.
I'm going to see if the library has Burmese Days when I renew my card next week. You're the third person I've seen mention it this week- that's got to be a sign.

It's a good standard "Everything's going to work out alri... Oh bollocks" Orwell piece. Takes a while to get going, but it's a cracker.
I dunno what I'm not enjoying specifically about this. I'm having trouble reconciling Dick's "autistic people are out of sync with time" with my mum's tales of working with autistic kids, so that could be it.
