Secretly Not Here Any More Started conversation Sep 22, 2004
So far, in my slow packing, I've filled two (size 14 admittedly) shoeboxes. Shoebox one contains my favourite books; The Hobbit, Three of the Drenai Saga books, the entirety of Dan Abnett's 'Gaunt's Ghosts' series, a book called 'The War in 2020' that I bought from a Spanish airport years a go, and two collections of counterfactual military history essays.
Shoebox two contains the few computer games I'm not leaving for my brother (Civilization III, Champ Manager 01/02, some Star Wars RTS and Worms: Armageddon), my Game Boy colour and a handful of games I found, Pete the Penguin glove puppet, a small replica of Ghengis Khan's sword, a beermat from 'The Bulldog' in Amsterdam, a small keyring in the shape of football boots 'made from recycled bits of Wembley Stadium', a David Batty car sticker, a Leeds United crest made out of foam that Kat's mum bought me, a packet of my favourite photos, a nicorette inhaler and a month's supply of nicotine replacement (in case I can't afford ciggies or decide to quit), 6 cigarette lighters including one from Nice and one from Ibiza, a small ashtray nicked from a bar in Brussells, some blu-tac, my wisdom teeth in a jar (lucky charm), a watch with a broken strap (lucky exam stopwatch), an 'Area 51' metal doorplate, a tequila glass stolen from a bar in Paris, my sketchbook, my reporter's notebook (for the odd match report, planning h2g2 entries, doodling in during history lessons, etc) and my notebook/diary from my European holiday.
So all I need to pack now are my CDs, my stereo, my clothes, my bedding, my toiletries, my shoes.....
Keep on Trukkin'
