I am eagerly anticipating news of wedding play, Rope and Merry Widow. Youhave much more involved theatrical lives than I do!

This year though I've just been a sucker for the undeniable ego-boosting that comes with people asking me for my help. I have to keep in mind that just because she doesn't plead, doesn't mean she doesn't need me as much as the ruthless producers 
of dramatic events.
Last night I spent a convivial evening with gentlemen in tailcoats, blue sashes and white gloves, and ladies in tightly laced corsets waving inadequate fans. The 
glasses were unfortunately empty

Sorry, I haven't posted about the wedding play / Rope as nothing much has happened on either. We've been rehearsing the wedding play, which is going OK, and I've learnt all but the last page (good job as the author/director decided to change the last page last night). Rope - well, I need to start learning that in the next couple of weeks so I have the lines down by three weeks on Sunday when we go down to Somerset. Rehearsals for that will be the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and performances on the Friday and Saturday. Really hoping the weather stays nice as the last time we did the Somerset play thing it was freezing cold and raining (July 2004!)
Am missing the singing a bit, but acting is kind of taking over in lots of respects at the moment...
