When I view your page in alabaster (I'm at work!) I see your Scout badge in the top left gand corner of the page covering the H2G2 logo and a smiley marquee'ing left to right and back again over the 'bbc.co.uk' grey bar right at the top!

Is this something to do with the style position:absolute bits in your page?

Yes, you too can do these things. I have to confess it was a bit cargo cult - I don't understand all the qualifiers, and haven't looked hard to get them explained. I simply copied a bit I liked out of someone else's space (asking them and and for quite a while acknowledging their 'inspiration' in my space) and fiddled with the numbers until it was in the place I wanted it to be. I put the badge in because I preferred it to the old Brunel one (four green fedoras)

Note: you can give yourself unearned badges this way, but you will be found out by the fact they are not replicated in the proper volunteer badges space. I think the ability to customise your thread intros is more - FORUMTHREADINTRO and ADDTHREADINTRO

Feel free to use any coding on my space to improve your own - just don't expect me to be able to remember how I did it
