As we've sort of met in a couple of conversations, I thought I'd drop by your space and say hello. We may have a fair bit of stuff in common.
I went to see the Dalai Lama a couple of years ago in London - a three day event on 'Transforming the Mind'. Who knows, you may have also been there?
It strikes me that you may be interested in h2g2's sister site - 360 - see:

which is a community with a holistic focus. Have a poke and a prod. See what you think.

Hi Zarquon,
Thanks for calling by. Yes indeed, I have been noting your entries with interest and pleasure. I'll catch up more tomorrow, because it's after midnight, and I must get to bed, keep this hootoo addiction in check. I'm sure it'll ease off in a week or so, but for now it's really compelling, and a lovely way to meet completely new friends.

Dear Z, I am honoured. I would like to reciprocate, but I haven't yet worked out how you do that.

Go to my space by clicking on my name. Look at the top right hand corner and click on "Add to Friends'. You can do this for other people you get on with too.

Thanks formthat too, Z. I've done it. You're the first, now for some more.

Easy once you know how, isn't it!
I think the abuse survivors forum/discussion is a good idea. There was a time when such things were never spoken of. Different today, and maybe with more people being aware, it may mean the incidence gets less.

Perhaps I ought to say, I was also abused as a child, by a neighbour, who must have systematically exposed himself and had most of the little girls in the neighbourhood play with him in small groups. He must be long dead, but I can remember talking to a friend, who had a daughter of her own, who used to keep her away from 'Uncle Bill', as he appeared to be still a threat a couple of decades on. To my knowledge nothing was ever done about him.
As today's society is much more open, I think he would have been revealed for what he was if he was alive today.
