Welcome to h2g2! I see that you're a friend of Recumbentman. I consider myself a friend of his here on h2g2, although I've only met him once briefly in real life. I'm also from Dublin and am also interested in music, although purely on an amateur basis. I hope to see you around!

Well, hello Gnomon.

Apologies for the length of time it has taken for me to acknowledge your kind welcome. I am only slowly adapting to life in hootoo, and the conventions thereof. My old friend, and former partner-in-instrument-making-crime, Recumbentman, is, in my estimation, a gentleman of leisure with surplus hours to spend at his computer, devising stuff to post to the Guide. I have less time, and am worried that this will become another addiction. Well, I guess it beats vegging out in front of the TV, being marginally more creative/interactive. And there is no doubt that the ageing grey cells are helped by being dragooned into creating rimickles, clerickles and other trivial versicles.

Good to find another Dubliner on site. And an amateur musician! Probably the best kind. Recumbentman and I share a history in Ireland's early music scene, though he, unlike me, is a seriously fine musician, and a musical scholar/academic to boot. But many years of my life have been pleasured with making music in agreeable company.

What a pompous last sentence that was. Oh well.
