Give up now? Who, me? Hey, if you think your moods are scary, you ain't seen nuthin. I am especially scary when I allow myself to get angry.
Anyhow, don't worry. They aren't phases. The emotions and feelings and moods you are having now will most likely follow you throughout the rest of your life. But what will probably happen is that you will develop closer, or at least different, relationships with them so that *you* end up having the mood, feeling, emotion rather than them having you.
Very late now. have had several glasses of wine whilst out for dinner with friend after lugging computers all over the place. And must get up early, so . . .
buenos nachos,

Hmm. I'm not so sure that you're as scary as me when I'm angry. I won't list the things I've broken, but it's pretty useful sometimes on marches against the fascist pigs/working men doing their jobs/policepeople holding up law and order, when I get angry like that.

Noticed you being a bit rude to me on the Lies thread - making fun of my enthusiasm over my new computer and earlier on saying you hated me. Are you trying to impress someone over there by doing this? I don't like it. It isn't friendly and it isn't consistent. Also, it hurts my feelings.
goodnight,
az

I'm never rude to you, az, merely explicit. Plus, the whole hating thing REALLY shouldn't have been taken seriously...
Consitency is the tool of a Puritanical Devil.
Sowwy...
There's no one for me to impress.

You can officially consider me here now. Sorry, it's just that I've got a brand-spanking-new-fangled girlfriend who I love to bits (naturally I pretend to her I don't) and so I've been spending many evenings at hers watching Big Brother in an attempt to bond...

Az - There's a very good reason for that... I'm convinced she likes me a lot, but not *loves* me a lot (that same ol' difference), so if I tried to express my feelings, I'd
a) fail,
b) scare her into dumping me, and
c) if I did neither of those two, I'd end up looking a complete fool when it all ends, as it most certainly will, at the beginning of college...
I envy you, you know, getting to listen to the laughable day-in-the-life of a modern teenager, giggle slightly and act superior. So fine. Give me advice.
Zucchini - Hello.

Who is this Zucchini person anyhow?
Fnord,
Idiot . . .
Don't play games or try to second guess what someone else is feeling or how you should be behaving. Otherwise this is all going to be very boring for me to listen to
I'm not even going to tell you how long ago it was since I last had a date! Suffice it to say that there is no way I could ever feel in any even remoteliest way 'superior' about this stuff.
And I never give advice.
(though I often throw out a few ideas here and there . . . )

"Don't play games or try to..." blah blah blah. That's superiority for ya.
Okay, I won't, but wouldn't you get pretty scared if you were a teenage girl and a boy who's been a close friend (but only for a few months) suddenly says he loves you? I'd dump him and run for a mile. I *need* advice, but you're saying you only want to give ideas. Except, ya know, "Don't play games or try to..." is really advice.
It's not about you having dates now, it's about you having done all this before.
BTW, have to leave for half an hour or so soon, but I'll be back, so don't start pinning up online "Have you seen this fool?" posters this time...

Zucchini hangs out on FFFF with the rest of the gang.
I'm not the best person to give advice to the lovelorn but... just be nice, and see what develops.

<<"Don't play games or try to..." blah blah blah. That's superiority for ya.<
No it isn't - it's just me mouthing off. Always feel totally free to ignore me, which I know is needless to say.
Maybe you could try showing her how much you love her before 'scaring' her with the scary words. Me? I always love it when someone tells me they love me (well, almost always).

No, in fact it's all about you-you-you Which is fine. Except the next time *I* fall in love, watch out and be prepared to listen to all my stuff too! (unlikely to happen, so I think you're pretty safe on that one).

Just a befuddled vegetable.
You gotta be weary of the whole love thing. It has, for example, just caused me to move into another county.
Build up a solid relationship before using the scarey words. 'Love' is not a word that should be bandied around. And most importantly, don't listen to me. Bandy the word around if you want.

Zucchini,
Some of the wisest words I have ever heard spoken from a befuddled vegetable. Well done.

ps
Zucchini,
did you mean 'weary' or 'wary'?
were you just being funny?

It works perfectly with both words. Yup, despite my years I am well aware of the problems love can cause. Wow, a wider audience. Sorry, Zucchini, about not knowing who you are. Don't be surprised when I start appearing in all of your conversations soon, though.
