The trick is not to dig them up. You ask them. If they don't tell you, just wander off and accept that it's none of your business anyway.

You can't have a much better touch of the wild for the garden than that!
As for the number thirteen, it all depends on whose side the thirteen is on... bad luck for the opposing side... More is better of course.
