I was just going over the newbies and noticed a retired woman with an interest in gardening, in fact a member of the 'Gardening' forum. I imagine she'd quite enjoy hearing from someone knowledgeable on the subject. She's U8872386 and is actually in search of like-minded individuals.

Long time no hear....or summat like that.

I'm already familiar with the researcher, i kind of lead here here from the gardening message board. I spend quite a bit of time there myself, but we don't have any way of unsubbing from dead convos or chatting one to one. So a few of them are signing up here too.

Oh and would you mind aceing her please, the gardening board is far easier to navigate than hootoo; so she could probably use some usefull stuff that you aces do.

Yes good to 'speak' to you again! How've you been? We have our(the first of the many north american)27th annual Fringe festival on...I'm hoping to see a few performers from The U.K.-in fact one Mon./tomorrow afternoon.

Who knows what will turn up from the UK, we have many wierd and wonderful entertainers ready to do their thing......some of them are best doing it elsewhere too

No that's a loose extension of the Edinburgh Fringe, so various theatrical works, monologists and such. I'm hoping to schedule in performance-poet Jme Rolls' show. I've seen him previously.

I must agree though, I've heard some...well,"acquired taste" from The U.K. But then we have a bit of that here as well.

Ah, that sounds far more interesting than the 'V' festival which is currently on in this town. The wind has changed direction, so i can hear the music (a loose term you understand) here in my lounge. Luckily it's not a hot day,so i havent got the windows open. Clearly i'm getting old, as most of it is just a noise to me.....i'm starting to sound like my dad now thats a scary thought!

I had read a rather apt term(years ago), used in referance to self-indulgent music, "electro-wanking" ...I doubt I had ever lauh=ghed quiote so hard!

I was offine for a bit. I did say 'self indulgent', as in the musicians' merely stroking their musical egos ...but that could I suppose have very unsavoury implications!

I'm not 100% sure of the exact protocol on that...seems members of other services/forums are somewhat off limits, but yes I just may in any case!
