I've got the kids, but not forever, they'll leave in a couple of years, and somehow I'm stuck because of them, if you know what I mean

My daughters grown up, she has her own place and 2 kids....so its just me here now

I was a 'nan' at 37 much too young really She lives the other side of town, we get together once a fortnight. What with my work and the kids being at school, its the only time we can fit in

They are 15 and 12, so still several years before they're " adults, although 2.5 years is not so much as it now seems, but if everything goes well,the oldest will stay in school until he's 19, so will still be dependant for another year.

The oldest one is still easy to handle, he's sweet, but the small one is very different, I'm afraid I'll look a very old woman once he'll have left

Aawww thats a shame I was divorced at 23. I brought my daughter up on my own.
So once the kids leave home, it'll be just the two of you again, maybe you'll find some common interests together then

He's already trying, but I just don't want it anymore, and the bad thing is, that he tries to force it and makes me dig in my heels even more.
I don't want to be told what I should do or not do, I'm 42 for god's sake

I'm only a couple of years older than you
I'd give my right arm to have someone to to share my life with.
I split from my partner last year (his choice not mine) and since then its been very lonely here. Its funny how things go
