Literature
I read the bible. Although the one I have had for ages is so old I am getting a new one. I am definately not extremely well read. Although I can read. My point is that I like Shakespeare as much as Genesis or indeed other books like Zechariah. Job is fascinating and Chronicles is good. I read A Midsummer Nights' Dream at school and loved it. Although not as hot blooded as Romeo And Juliet, it still has as much for you to learn about Shakespeare the author in its' pages, lined with so much mischief you laugh with delight sometimes.
The reason I like to read other books like Zechariah is for the content which they contain. The stories are so intriguing I rarely finish before the end of any single chapter.
In The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe written by C.S. Lewis who was a self confessed Christian, the quirkiness comes alive if you follow the lines of the stories. Like in the bible where so much hinges on the start and end of something, C.S. Lewis gives character to the animals, children and others, like the witch who is quite life like. Aslan the lion who represents God is strong, but gentle at the same time. He sees the disasterous consequences about to unfold, around him but knows he is able to make it OK at the end.
Humour plays a role. But you do not need a great deal of 'intelligence'
to understand C.S. Lewis' TLTWATW...
Much the same goes for The good book, and much the same for life...
If only everything was packaged so neatly in such easy to understand convenient snippets of enlightened wisdom.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
