bingo! but does it sound like it would be out of place on any of the right wing talk shows?
We have this image of Hitler as being evil incarnate, a raving lunatic psychopath complete with fangs and bloody claws, but people forget how popular he was both inside and outside of germany. Many in North America, England and France thought he was a reasonable man until 1939.
The kind of rhetoric we are now hearing from mainstream commentators, with all their admiration of Bush for being a strong, resolute leader, is an echo of Germany in 1936 or '37.
