I just came across this article which I thought would interest you, as a journalist: http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1231089,00.html
"During my surreal interlude at LAX, I told the officer taking my fingerprints that I would be writing about it all. "No doubt," he snorted. "And anything you'll write won't be the truth.""

I'm not sure if I remember where I found it.... I'm drawing a blank.
I don't know if I would recognise your blog as the source, if I knew where your blog was to compare.

You can pick a new template. Mine is an off-the-shelf one from the ones they offer at Blogspot.
If you go to your "dashboard, open your editing page, and look at the top, pick "template", and under the tabs, you will see "pick new". This will take you to a bunch of templates. I don't know if you can get your old template back, but your entries don't change, so you won't lose anything.
Here are some of the links they provide: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=627&topic=22
There is a really nice on that is available from one of the links they provide to blog template designers, but it doesn't fit the style of my blog (any of my blogs.... I have 5 for various of my endeavours.

The template I like is here: http://www.pointoffocus.com/Graphics/focusblogger.html# it is the "Summer Bright" one.
By the way... I just discovered that I get Iron Chef on my new satellite service.... just caught the tail end of it. We used to get in when I lived in NYC.

I think when I watched in in NYC, it was in Japanese only, so one kind of missed a lot of nuances....

Hi Rev,
I was going to leave this link at The Woodshed, but the comments facility is gone. I think you will find it interesting. http://jabbs.blogspot.com/ (It isn't yours, too, is it?)
I like the new look, as well as the terrific photo. You should send a copy to the "friends" page. Have you seen the photo of my friend when he got married in Japan? http://public.fotki.com/Mudhooks/family_friends_pets/recent_photos_of_friends/mami_and_james_wedding_1.html
I have been practicing at making changes to my blogs by fiddling with the html. I have figured out how to add a list of links, and have added a stats link to all my blogs.
I also downloaded the really nice template with the morning glories on it. Unfortunately, when I tested using it on blogspot, it was all messed up. Still, I'll keep on trying.

Nice photo, I wore one of those outfits too - way more comfortable than a tux. That is the picture I'm looking for to send to the friends page, but until I figure out the japanese instructions for my scanner it may be awhile.

If you check out the "dashboard" on Blogger, there are often some pretty good blogs listed..... Of course, there are often some pretty trashy ones, and a lot of porn ones. I check it out almost every night.

beware of blogitis (compulsive reading of other people's blogs) Even the bad, trashy teen, barely literate ones can be as compelling as a car wreck and as addictive as heroin.
Blogamania (compulsive updating of one's own blog) can be scary too. A workmate of mine runs a great blues blog,http://the-blues-blog.blogspot.com/ but spends about three hours a day updating the damn thing

Pretty flashy site. All that work certainly shows.
I'm certainly not working that hard on mine.... yet. I keep getting ideas for new blogs. I just have learn to say no.

A blog about blogs!.... No... no... just say no. Just say NO! Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!
To prove myself wrong about having no life, I went to a movie with my friend and her son. We went to see "The Village". Not quite as satisfying an ending as "Signs", and not as subtle as "Unbreakable", but very, very goosebumpy up until the last few minutes.
Bryce Dallas Howard (Ron Howard's daughter) is terrific. Several of my favorite actos are in it. Adrien Brody, Joachim Phoenix, and William Hurt....

There were several points where people screamed, and I know I jumped several times.
"Unbreakable" was pretty good, but it left me wanting more. Sort of got the feeling it was like Part 1 of something.... It ended as abruptly as one of the LOTR episodes.

Who said it?
"The national government will maintain and defend the foundations on which the power of our nation rests. It will offer strong protection to Christianity as the very basis of our collective morality. Today, Christians stand at the head of our country. We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit. We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theatre, and in the press - in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past years."
Rush Limbaugh? Tom DeLay? Bill O'Rielly? go on, have a guess...
